Selling Sunset season 8 premiered on Netflix on Friday, September 6, 2024. Oppenheim agents reunited to provide a glimpse into the cut-throat competition in the real-estate business of Los Angeles. The reality series also delved deep into the agents' lives as they worked to balance their personal and professional responsibilities.

In episode 3, the Oppenheim agents attended Amanza's 47th birthday party. Amanza Smith used the event to announce that she went through two life-endangering surgeries and was afraid she would not live to see another day. Chrishell appeared unhappy with Amanza's stylist's comments about her gender identity. Later, Bre learned about Chelsea's husband, Jeff's infidelity.

What happened in Selling Sunset season 8 episode 3?

The episode started with Amanza inviting all the Oppenheim agents to her birthday party, where she said she would have a DJ, food, and a "tooth gem lady." However, she was worried since nobody responded to her invitation which she claimed she had sent weeks ago.

"I'm getting anxiety because nobody said they're coming to my birthday party. Are you guys gonna come to my birthday? I'm alive!" Amanza said.

The cast members were also joined by Selling Sunset's newest agent, Alanna Gold, who was excited to get to know the ladies and be a part of the business. Watching Chrishell have a wardrobe malfunction, she confessed she was getting to know them on a "more intimate level" and stated it was not an "average real estate agency."

The Oppenheim brothers discussed their recent sales with the team, stating they secured some good deals. One of those listings belonged to Orlando Bloom which was sold for $7 million. Although it was a "real challenge," they were satisfied they could sell it.

In a private conversation, Selling Sunset star Chrishell asked Amanza if her stylist would be at the party. When she answered in the affirmative, Chrishell confessed she would feel uncomfortable around him. Previously, Amanza's stylist accused Chrishell online of allegedly faking her gender identity, calling her a "green card to G."

Although Amanza was against her stylist's comments, she did not want to fire him because he worked for her for free. Consequently, Chrishell refused to attend her birthday party.

In another episode segment, Bre showed around a luxury estate to her client Sofia Franklin. Tired of her 650 square feet NYC apartment, Sofia wanted a larger space in Los Angeles. She added that the estate's open outdoor space was ideal for shooting her podcast. However, she wanted to explore a few more options before finalizing a house.

Emma and Chelsea supported Chrishell's decision not to attend Amanza's birthday party. The trio called themselves the "inner circle," excluding the rest because they were not their friends.

Later, Chelsea opened up about her feud with Selling Sunset star Mary. She revealed Mary accused her of allegedly gossiping about Emma and called her a "pot-stirrer."

The cast member took their argument a step further by attacking Chelsea's outfit at their broker's open. While Chelsea claimed her dress was not inappropriate, Mary felt it was too explicit. She later told Nicole that she slammed Chelsea because her dress could hamper her reputation in front of her clients.

Chrishell arrived at Amanza's birthday party after the latter informed her that her stylist would not come. She acknowledged and appreciated the cast member's gesture. At the event, Amanza revealed she went through two major life-threatening spine surgeries before her 47th birthday.

She noted that her birthday was "very special" because it allowed her to celebrate life with her friends and family. Prompted by Chrishell, Mary tried to reconcile with Chelsea but their conversation soon turned into an argument without a positive ending.

Later, Bre's friend Amanda disclosed a secret about Chelsea's husband, Jeff. She showed Bre a text message that claimed Jeff was allegedly cheating on Chelsea with another woman. Bre wondered if she should drag Chelsea to the "pits of hell" with that information or let it easy on her.
