Selling Sunset season 8 episode 9 recap

The D'Amelio Property

The first listing of Selling Sunset season 8 episode 9 was a rental property that was standing at $49,500/month and was located in Londonderry Pl. Los Angeles. The price for the property was set at $11 million with a commission of $359k. It had four bedrooms, and six bathrooms and was over 9,267 sqft.

The owners of the house were the famous Tiktok family, the D'Amelios. They turned to the Oppenheim firm to list out their huge house and invited Mary and Jason to show off their place. The D'Amelio family had been living on the property for over three and a half years. Since their arrival in the house, Dixie and Charlie had moved out of the place and their parents decided to downsize their living space.

They wanted to either sell or rent the place and move into their separate homes. Jason and Mary not only had to take care of D'Amelio's listing but also had to find them new places to live.

In her confessional, Mary talked about the property being a huge hit. She said that the D'Amelio family was well known and the house was also marketable. Mary and Jason wanted to grab the opportunity and sell or rent the property before it was on the market.

Chelsea's listing

Chelsea had her own listing to take care of in the other part of the Selling Sunset season 8 episode 9. She met with the property's listing agent Gene Bush. The agent described the place as:

"The house you come to when you wanna bring your friends in, fully entertain. Clubs over, you come back, you got this beautiful view, and the night just starts."

The house was located at Carmen Crest, Los Angeles, and had 3 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms and was over 3,785 sqfts. Priced at $5.25 million, the place had a commission of $157k.

Chelsea said that her client was from London and was moving to LA and wanted a place in Hollywood Hills. He was a single guy and wanted to impress the ladies. Gene added that the place would be perfect for the guy as it was "built for a bachelor who wants to have the ultimate fun".

Chelsea then introduced her client from the ponds, Joey Essex. She showed him the place and he was satisfied with the place.

Niko's Funeral and Chelseas/Bre drama

Jason wanted to distract himself before Niko's funeral, so he bought a black Ferrari. Everyone arrived at the funeral in their black outfits and some came with their dogs.

Jason and Mary kicked off the funeral and talked about their dog Niko. They were emotional and weren't able to hold back their tears through the talk. They talked about their memories with Niko and the last meal he had.

After the ceremony, Emma had a chat with Bre and talked about her beef with Chelsea. The two Selling Sunset cast mates argued over whose side Emma was on. They made a scene and attracted everyone's attention at the funeral.

Selling Sunset season 8 was released on Netflix on September 6, 2024.
