The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 introduced the viewers to six new couples. Each contestant was given an ultimatum by their partner. In this season, the couples parted ways and entered into a trial marriage with their fellow cast members to decide whether they wanted to continue their relationship.
One of the pairs who were in a trial marriage included Scotty and Zaina. During The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 episode 6, Scotty shared the lessons he learned being in a trial marriage. Zaina also opened up about this experience, stating that she understood the fact that being independent was important but she also wanted to do "things united."

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On contestant Scotty opens up about his trial marriage
In The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 episode 6, Scotty shared the lessons he learnt from his trial marriage with Zaina. He told her that her ability to find a middle ground during conflicts and arguments made him realize how important it was to look at moving forward rather than "being right."
Scotty further said that even if two people were "not on the same page," working towards finding a resolution as a team was something Zaina showed him was possible. The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On cast member stated that he was willing to work on his ability to adopt that skill as well. He added:
"Something I've learnt from you is, let's find a resolution. Let's get to how we move past and move forward together. Because I think it's a real skill that you have is, 'Okay, like we're upset. How do we stop going in circles? How do we find a resolution?' That's not something I feel like I've been good at."
Scotty also talked about the importance of this skill of finding a resolution, he continued:
"I've learnt through this trial marriage experience, that that is necessary. Like, you have to realize that even if you're not on the same page, you're working to get there, and I think that's the hard part about arguments."
Later in the episode, Zaina shared her perspective of their trial marriage. She mentioned that they both were ready do "the work" and realized what things they had to act on, she said:
"I think we're both willing to do the work. Based off of our trial marriage, I think we have recognized things that we want to work through."
