Shark Tank season 16 has already aired, which features investors Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O'Leary. In this reality TV series, aspiring entrepreneurs share their ideas in hopes of seeking advice and investments from the sharks.

During an interview with E! Magazine in October this year, the sharks opened up about their spending habits. From Mark Cuban being against luxury watches to Lori's dislike towards Lamborghini, the sharks shared what they spend or do not spend money on.

Shark Tank season 16 premiered exclusively on ABC on October 18, 2024. The official show synopsis explains the series' format; it states:

"Aspiring entrepreneurs from around the world pitch their business models to a panel of investors and persuade them to invest money in their idea."

Things Shark Tank investors don't spend money on

In a recent interview with People Magazine on December 6, 2024, Mark Cuban shared that he wasn't a "big spender." Mark elaborated he didn't like spending money on luxury items; he further explained:

“When I first made money I did go out and buy things, I bought a house, bought a plane. But since then, I literally even had a conversation with my wife not long ago that, ‘Okay, we're allowed to go out and buy some stuff, so if we want to, let's go look at things.’ But I'm not a big spender.”

The Shark Tank investor is against luxury watches as well and uses an Apple watch to track his health. In another conversation with E! News on October 14, 2024, Mark stated that fans "won't see me splurge on a watch." Opening up about the reason behind not wearing a watch, Mark shared that he only used to wear one that was given to him by his dad. This was when Mark was 29, had sold his company, and after that, decided to take off his dad's watch; he shared:

"I took it off and I put it aside and I said, 'Now that I've sold my company, I never have to work on anybody's else's time, so I'm never going to wear a watch again.'"

Meanwhile, Kevin O'Leary, also known as Mr. Wonderful, doesn't like spending money on yachts. The reason behind this decision might stem from the boat crash in 2019 that involved Kevin and his wife. Lori Greiner, on the other hand, is not a fan of Lamborghinis, as they "could get crashed and ruined in a minute."

Shark Tank guest investor Todd Graves avoids spending money on flying private for his international trips. The Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers CEO prefers flying on a regular plane. During her conversation with E! News, Kendra Scott shared she never misses a Labor Day or Memorial Day sale. According to Kendra, spending money on a sale is a wise decision. She continued:

"When you start a business with 500 bucks as a single mother … you remember what it's like to be poor. You don't want to go back there."

Another Shark Tank investor for this season, Robert Herjavec believes in spending money on things that make him happy. He said:

"I'll buy anything that makes me happy."

All episodes of Shark Tank are available to stream exclusively on ABC. Viewers can follow the investors on their official Instagram accounts.
