Shark Tank season 16, episode 7 recap - Entrepreneurs bring festive cheer with holiday-inspired pitches

The December 13, 2024, episode 7 of Shark Tank featured holiday-themed pitches, including advent calendars, faux fur coats, and snowy-day solutions.

Entrepreneurs Aaron Ross and Sanya Richards-Ross pitched their loungewear brand, Co-ordinates, seeking $100,000 for 10%. With strong sales and a Team USA partnership, they secured a deal with Robert Herjavec for 20%.

Jake Piekarski and Philip Loveland presented Snow Scholars, a snow removal service employing college students, and secured $150,000 for 20% from Mark Cuban.

Jenna Hess introduced her Gnome Advent Calendar, inspired by Scandinavian folklore, seeking $45,000 for 10%. Despite strong sales and innovative designs, she left without a deal.

Carlo pitched Wildcoat, a faux fur coat company, seeking $350,000 for 10%. After negotiations, he closed a deal with Robert Herjavec for 23%.


Co-ordinates Loungewear and Snow Scholars secure investments in Shark Tank

Aaron Ross and Sanya Richards-Ross presented Co-ordinates, seeking $100,000 for a 10% stake in their pyjama and loungewear company in Shark Tank. Aaron, a former NFL player who won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants, and Sanya, an Olympic gold medalist in the 400 meters, highlighted their backgrounds to add credibility to their brand.

Co-ordinates, set to sponsor Team USA's loungewear at the 2028 Olympics, reported $21,000 in monthly sales and $55,000 yearly. Their $89 loungewear sets cost $27 to make. Robert Herjavec, citing his experience with Tipsy Elves, offered $100,000 for 25%.

Aaron and Sanya countered with 20%. Daymond John re-entered the discussion, agreeing to the 20% offer. Robert matched the 20% stake, and the entrepreneurs accepted his deal.

Next, Jake Piekarski and Philip Loveland introduced Snow Scholars, requesting $75,000 for a 10% stake.

Snow Scholars provides snow shoveling, sanding, and salting services by employing college students. Homeowners can choose between a full-season plan or a vacation plan. They reported sales of $116,800 during the snow season from December 1 to April 1, with a profit of $85,500. The student workers are paid $25 per hour.

Kevin O'Leary and Daymond John jointly offered $75,000 for a 20% stake. Mark Cuban then proposed $150,000 for a 20% stake. Jake and Philip accepted Mark's offer, securing investment to expand their service and provide more job opportunities for students.


Gnome Advent Calendar and Wildcoat showcase in Shark Tank

Jenna Hess pitched the Gnome Advent Calendar in Shark Tank, seeking $45,000 for a 10% stake in her company. The advent calendars feature collectible gnomes inspired by Scandinavian folklore and are designed to open up to reveal a "magical portal." Jenna also offers calendars for other holidays like Halloween, Valentine's Day, and Easter.

The Christmas calendar retails for $147 with a manufacturing cost of $47. Over 18 months, she achieved lifetime sales of $160,000, relying solely on influencer marketing without any advertising costs. Despite the unique concept and profit margins, the Sharks decided not to invest.

Carlo, the founder of Wildcoat, sought $350,000 for a 10% stake in his faux fur coat company. He reported sales of $135,000 in 2021, $375,000 in 2022, and $505,000 in 2023, with confidence in reaching $700,000 for the current year. The coats are made entirely of faux fur and sold exclusively online.

Daymond John offered $350,000 for a 30% stake. Robert Herjavec countered with the same amount for a 25% stake. Carlo proposed a 23% stake, and Robert agreed to the terms. Carlo accepted Robert's offer, securing investment to grow Wildcoat and expand its market presence.
