Shark Tank season 16 premiered on October 18 and marked the return of the six main sharks: Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary.

The reality show usually features six main sharks, however, they introduced a seventh, Daniel Lubetzky in the recent season. Lubetzky previously appeared on the show as a guest shark and is now using the experience in the permanent role.

The guest sharks for their season include Todd Grave (founder of Raising Cane’s), Jamie Kern Lima (co-founder of IT Cosmetics), Rashaun Williams (venture capitalist), Kendra Scott (founder of Kendra Scott lifestyle brand).

Barbara Corcoran worked at over 20 jobs by the time she was 23. She later quit her waitress job, borrowed $1,000, and used it to start up her own small business. She took the risk with that amount and turned her start-up into a $5 billion real estate business.

On October 21, the Shark Tank star shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, celebrating her 16 years on the reality show.

"And just like that, Season 16 of @sharktankabc is underway! After 16 incredible years filled with hundreds of deals and thousands of entrepreneurs (and maybe a couple of facelifts! 😉), we’re back and better than ever!," she wrote.

Lori Greiner began her career with her "jewelry organizer" idea and turned it into a multimillion-dollar international brand. According to her Shark Tank bio, she "created and marketed over 1,000 products and holds 120 U.S. and international patents." She is known to have an eye for new products and can tell if they will work or not.

Robert Herjavec is a cybersecurity expert, motivational speaker, and business expert. He went from delivering newspapers to creating a billion-dollar global computer company. Herjavec is an international Shark and has appeared in the Canadian version, the Australian version, and the American version of the show in the same year.

Herjavec has also appeared on Dancing With the Stars, The Neighbors, Beyond the Tank, and The World Dog Awards.

Daymond John is the branding expert among the cast of Shark Tank season 16. He is the founder of the American hip-hop apparel company FUBU. His two books The Power of Broke (2016) and Rise and Grind (2018) earned a spot in New York Times and Wall Street Journal's best-selling list.
