"She looks amazing" — Love Is Blind UK Jasmine defends Demi against Catherine’s comment

Love Is Blind UK Reunion was released on Netflix on August 26, 2024. Host Emma and Matt sat down with the couple, who got engaged after stepping out of their pod. The Love is Blind contestants unpacked what they were doing a year after the show and if their relationships worked out.

Demi and Ollie were one of the couples who got engaged on the show. They made it to the altar, but their marriage did not come through. While talking about their relationship on the show, Catherine's involvement with them in Love is Blind was brought up.

Demi talked about Catherine's comment while they were in the pods. Demi said even though Catherine did not know what Ollie looked like, she had said the pair would not work on the outside.

"Do I think Demi and Ollie are gonna work on the outside world? No. My mouth's gonna get me into trouble," Demi stated what Catherine said.

Catherine apologized to Demi for her comment and admitted that what she said came out wrong. She said she was bad with words and didn't mean to hurt her, that she just wanted her to be happy.

Jasmine then stepped in for Demi to defend her. She asked Catherine why she had said, "My mouth was going to get me into trouble," if she hadn't had any malicious intentions in her comment.

Jasmine continued and suggested to Catherine that she should have said that Ollie and Demi "wouldn't have gotten along on a personality basis." She concluded her views and said:

"You were insinuating that was because of the way she looks. And she looks amazing."

Catherine got emotional hearing Jasmine's take on the matter. Catherine clarified herself and said that wasn't what she meant when she commented on the pair. Before things could get out of hand, the hosts of the Love Is Blind UK Reunion, Emma and Matt moved on to a different topic.

Demi and Ollie on Love Is Blind UK Reunion

Ollie had his doubts about Demi before their wedding day. However, when the time came to say "I do," Demi was the one to say "No." Ollie was surprised by her answer and was confused as to why she said that.

At the Love Is Blind UK Reunion, the ex-couple talked about their connection on the show and why it didn't work out. Demi said she needed to find validation within herself. After her experience on the show, she felt like a shell out of the water and moved back with her parents.

Ollie shared that they had love for each other; however, it was all fast, it wasn't their time to get together, and they weren't the people for each other. Agreeing with him, Demi told hosts Emma and Matt:

"Walking away from it was like, 'Ollie's a good guy, but he's not my guy.' So, yeah, that's where we're at."

They considered working on their relationships after not going through with the wedding. However, they decided to leave things be and go their separate ways.

In the reunion, Ollie also talked about the narrative he saw online, where viewers felt he would not be attracted to Demi and choose his other option. He stated that the people who know him know he has always dated women who looked like Demi and not Catherine. Ollie clarified that while he thinks Catherine is attractive, she is not his type.

When asked, Catherine told her side of the story, that she moved her focus from Ollie to Freddie because she didn't know where Ollie and Demi's connection was heading. The 33-year-old told her he was feeling more depth with Demi, so Catherine decided to let them be.
