Season 26 of Big Brother made waves on the internet with it's premiere on July 17. The AI-themed season has since been making headlines because of the unique plotlines and bold contestants. Episode 5, released on Thursday, July 25, saw Matt getting evicted after he was pit against Kim and Kenny.
The first HoH of the season, Angela, went specifically after Matt because she thought he was faking their alliance. Episode 5 saw Angela calling out and going on a rant about Matt. She accused him of threatening to out her, and said he even organized a plot to form a fake alliance with her.

The threat she was talking about had some substance, but her accusation of a fake alliance didn't make sense because Quinn and Joseph were actually loyal to her. She also called Matt "Crazy Eyes" and vouched for his removal from the game. After she was done with the rant, most people in the house weren't having it, and expressed their fears on working with Angela going forward.
Fans weren't having it either, as they flocked to X to call for Angela's eviction next week. With that some of them also flaked the 50-year-old mom for her words. One fan said,
"Someone please get Angela out next. She is OBNOXIOUS".
"God I hope Angela goes home next". Said another.
"Matt was literally the only one I liked in this messed up house. I really hope they get rid of Angela next". One fan wrote.
"Im glad Matt is gone but the witch(Angela) needs to be the next boot. There's nothing about her that deserves to be on-screen longer than another week". Another fan wrote.
Some fans just plainly asked for Angela to be evicted. They hoped that the next HoH help taking Angela out. One Tweet read,

What went down in episode 5 of Big Brother season 26?
Matt wasn't first nominated for the elimination on episode 5 of Big Brother season 26. Lisa was in his place, but she saved herself by winning the veto competition.
Angela didn't take a lot of thinking to fill her empty place by nominating Matt. He was pit for the week's Big Brother elimination alongside Kenny and Kim, and would have to win at AI arena to secure his place in the game.
Before the game, Matt and Kenny chatted in the Big Brother backyard and said that atleast one of them will have to win the game because they didn't want to fight with each other to remain in the game. Kenny said if none of them won at the arena, he would give up on the game because he didn't want to go against Matt.
At the AI Arena, Ainsley announced the rules of the game called, Glitch in the System. The game had multiple images of the houseguests on the screen, the players had to identify which houseguests appeared the most on the screen, within the time given.
All three players, Matt, Kim, and Kenny give different answers. However, Kim took home the win because he correctly said Quinn.
Kenny and Matt remained for the evictions. They refused to campaign against each other. Matt received the highest number of votes and was sent home.
