Young, Famous & African returned with a new season on January 17, 2025. It depicted the cast members facing challenges in their personal lives while finding comfort in their friendships. Episode 4, titled Who Rules the Jungle? saw Khanyi pay a surprise visit to Nadia after realizing she was facing difficulty coping with her partner Kiernan "AKA" Forbes' death.

Nadia broke down after seeing Khanyi and confessed that she had not been doing well. The Young, Famous & African cast member wailed in Khanyi's arms and appreciated her for checking in on her.

After seeing the state Nadia was in, Khanyi took to a confessional and said:

"The hunch I had was right. She is literally hanging by an eyelash and she isn't okay."

AKA was a rapper and Nadia's partner, who passed away in 2023 in a shooting in Durban, South Africa. His death took a toll on Nadia, who detailed her struggles to Khanyi. She mentioned that she hesitated to confront her feelings, fearing they might overwhelm her. However, Khanyi insisted she "face the silence" and continue living.

Before Khanyi came, Nadia expressed her feelings to Fantana. She confessed she put up a brave face when she was not at peace. Nadia also admitted she needed therapy but kept delaying it because she had "too much to unpack."

"My person's gone. So it's difficult," she said in a confessional.

The Young, Famous & African star broke down reminiscing about her late partner and stated that she pretended to be okay because she did not want to worry others. She mentioned that she felt fine "to a certain extent" when surrounded by people, however, those feelings quickly faded whenever she found herself alone.

Nadia revealed that her friends held private discussions to decide who would visit her, as none wanted to leave her alone. While Nadia discussed her feelings with Fantana, Khanyi arrived with a bouquet. Nadia started crying as soon as she saw her at her door.

"I got a call from Nadia and she didn't sound good. She sounded strong that she's doing everything besides sounding like she's healing," Khanyi said.

During a confessional, Nadia expressed it was "wild" to have Khanyi with her, appreciating her ability to realize when someone was pretending to be okay.

As soon as Khanyi arrived, Nadia hugged her and wailed. She talked about how difficult it was to tackle her feelings alone. When Khanyi asked if the silence was "loud," Nadia answered in the affirmative, saying it was challenging to continue with life after losing someone so dear.

While describing her emotional state after AKA's passing, the Young, Famous & African star said:

"Kiernan's mom lived with me for a month to just make sure that I'm not by myself. I couldn't do it. I was on suicide watch."

Khanyi urged Nadia to face her fears and confront "the silence" so she could have those difficult conversations and continue moving forward. She advised her to start doing things "to find Nadia again." Furthermore, she urged Nadia to focus on the future and leave the past behind her.

Hearing that, Nadia assured her she wanted to live and was trying her best to move on.

"If I had to kill myself, I know I wouldn't be where Kiernan is and I wouldn't see him in the afterlife and that's all I want. So, I have to keep living until it's my time so I can see him again. Wherever that is," Nadia said in a Young, Famous & African confessional.

However, Khanyi knew Nadia had a long way to go because she could not be home alone and relax with her dog like she used to without someone visiting her.
