Dance Moms: A New Era released all 10 of its episodes on Hulu on August 7. With it, the historic show has gotten another spin-off. Gloria Hampton or Glo, as her students and fans call her, has replaced Abby Lee Miller, the former Dance Moms dance coach.

Fans had seen Glo in the previous seasons of the show because she used to accompany her dancer daughter Kaeli Ware when she was a kid and used to learn dance under Abby.

So this change in the age-old Dance Moms format has caused a frenzy among the old cast of the show as well as the fans. Some were seen rooting for the change while others weren't too excited about it.

When the show opened with episode 1, Glo Hampton's voice was heard in a voiceover. She mentioned how the former coach used to be friends with her and continued:

"But Abby’s mad at me. She’s jealous because I’m the coach of the next big team".

In an interview with Page Six, published on August 7, Glo revealed more about the current status of her friendship with Abby. She said:

"She’s not speaking to me at the moment".

What more did Dance Moms star Glo Hampton have to say about Abby Lee Miller?

In the Page Six interview, Gloria started by first explaining how good of a relationship she had with the former Dance Moms coach. She recalled her time on the show with her daughter, which she said was a catalyst to her friendship with Abby. She said:

"I met Abby through doing Dance Moms with my daughter … and we did become good friends".

She added that after she decided to take Dance Moms: A New Era, the biggest career opportunity for her, she didn't receive any tips on filming from Abby, who had filmed nine successful seasons of the show.

Glo revealed that she thought things were good between them because Abby had called to congratulate her when she found out Glo was taking over.

But then when the two were in Florida at the same time, and Glo reached out to meet her, she didn't respond well. She added:

"So I’m not sure where we stand right now, but I think that she feels a type of way. And I understand, but it’s a new show, it’s not her show".

Glo also said that she thought she had done nothing wrong to upset Abby and hoped that one day they would become friends again. She also recalled the times they had together, including vacations and the time Abby was sick.

Here, she referred to the time Abby was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma, a rare disease, in 2018. She said it made her sad that she wasn't around now.

In Glo's voiceover in the first episode of the new show, Miller's famous line "everyone's replaceable" also echoed in the background. Responding to it, Glo said that her goal was to turn this team of dancers into such stunning dancers that no one would be replaceable.

She then motivated everyone to take their team to the number 1 spot in the world competition. However, when their group performance on Shattered was placed sixth in the competition, she said maybe Abby was right, everyone was replaceable.

All 10 episodes of Dance Moms: A New Era are available to stream on Hulu.
