Selling Sunset season 8 is set to be aired on Netflix on September 6, 2024, and will see the continuation of some of the drama from the previous season. Chrishell Stause and Nicole Young had been involved in a feud in season 7 of the show, and viewers also saw them get into a verbal altercation.
The drama between the two real estate agents will likely continue in the upcoming season 8 as well. Chrishell shared her thoughts about the upcoming episode on an Instagram story that she uploaded on Saturday, August 31, 2024. She posted her opinions after reportedly watching the episode through advanced screeners provided to the cast.
In the story, which has since expired, she wrote that someone needed to take her phone along with some angry emojis. Stause then added, "Are we really still giving air time to liars that just want air time??”
She posted another story that had a poll referencing her Selling Sunset co-star Nicole Young. Stause asked her fans if there should be a "Get Nicole Off My Screen Button," giving them the options, "Yes!" and "Hell Yes!!" She followed up on her accusation with yet another story and vowed to no longer work with Nicole and preferred to get sued instead.
The context behind the posts and what irked Chrishell are still unknown, as fans are still waiting for Selling Sunset season 8 to premiere. In the story, she also revealed that Nicole talks about a bestie in the episode, but that isn't true.
“Disclaimer when you watch: Just know she spews a disgusting lie about a bestie that is categorically false and super damaging. It is not true," Chrishell wrote.
In the same story, she tagged Done and Done Productions, the company that produces the show, and accused them of milking the story for views. Chrishell called them out for allegedly airing just one side of the story and not including her friend's side.
She ended the story by calling the production company "disgusting for blindsiding with her." The former actress also claimed that Done and Done Productions didn't give her friend the chance to "defend herself with the truth."
Selling Sunset Chelsea Lazkani supports Chrishell's vows on Nicole
After Chrishell Stause's Instagram stories made waves among fans of Selling Sunset, her co-star, Chelsea Lazkani clarified a part of the situation. In an Instagram story, Chelsea mentioned that the "bestie" Chrishell spoke about was Emma Hernan, whom Nicole dissed in one of the scenes.
Tagging Nicole Young's account, she called her out for starting a "rumor about Emma." She also claimed that Nicole was "the most diabolical piece of..." and added a dustbin emoji at the end.
The British real estate agent went on to accuse Nicole of being jealous and wanting to take the attention away from her due to all the rumors about her. Chelsea finished her Instagram story with, "OK, let’s see how this works out for you…”
Like her co-star Chrishell Stause, Chelsea also slammed Selling Sunset's production company, questioning their integrity. She also accused them of “spreading lies for views," which is damaging to Emma's reputation.
The feud between Chrishell and Nicole explored
The feud between Chrishell and Nicole has seemingly been going on since Nicole joined The Oppenheim Group in season six of Selling Sunset. In season 7, it started when Chrishell accused Nicole of taking all the credit for selling a house, despite Jason having added both their names to the listing.
Chrishell revealed that she had held multiple open houses and showcased the house to several buyers. She claimed that Nicole discredited her work because Chrishell was relatively new as an agent. Nicole chimed in with her views on the matter and argued that Jason only preferred Chrishell because he had a “massive crush” on her.
“You don’t take credit for someone else’s work. And yeah, that p*ssed me the f—k off,” said Nicole.
It is worth noting that Jason has been in relationships with both Nicole and Chrishell previously. He reportedly dated Nicole years before the show began filming, and he was in a seven-month-long relationship with Chrishell in 2021.
Nicole also claimed that Chrishell didn’t do any open houses, and it was she who was in constant contact with the buyer’s agent and got it sold. Young went on to accuse Jason of threatening to fire her if she didn't share her contacts with Chrishell.
Selling Sunset season 8 will premiere on September 6, 2024, featuring the Oppenheim Group and its brokers. All 11 episodes of the new season will be released on the same day. However, additional details about a reunion or special episode have not been released yet.
Apart from Chrishell, Nicole, Chelsea, and Emma, the season will also feature older agents, including Amanza Smith, Mary Fitzgerald, and Bre Tiesi. Alanna Whittaker Gold is a new agent set to join Selling Sunset season 8. Jason and Brett Oppenheim are the co-owners of the brokerage and will guide the brokers within the show.
