The Braxtons episode 4 was recently released on August 30, 2024, on We TV. The latest episode featured Toni Braxton, who wanted her family to talk to her late sister Traci’s husband, Kevin Surratt. Since Traci’s demise, things have not been good between The Braxtons and Traci’s husband, Kevin.

The Braxtons, including Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar, and their mother, Evelyn, believed that Traci didn’t want a funeral. The Braxtons episode 4 aired on We TV on Friday, August 30, 2024. One of the key moments in the episode was a telephone conversation between Toni and Trina. The conversation started with Toni asking about Little K, aka Kevin Junior, their late sister Traci’s son.
"Little K, how is he doing? You know, I'm worried about him, and I know he's going through a lot. I don't know how we can help him," asked Toni.
Trina agreed and said that she was also worried. She was excited to "lay eyes" on him because, she thought, one can’t know “unless you lay physical eyes” on the person.
Toni talked about how even though their sister Traci didn’t want a funeral, her husband Kevin had one, against Traci’s wishes. She also mentioned how Traci wanted everything to "stay private" about her passing. However, Kevin decided and organized the ceremony.
"So, you never know what Traci and her husband talked about, or maybe he needed that for himself, so I got to be fair about that, but I'm just saying maybe it's worth finding out more information of what little Kevin is as estranged from his father, so we can help him find peace. Whatever that means, whatever that is for little Kevin," confessed Toni.
Toni said they can’t know what happened between Kevin and Traci about the funeral arrangements before the latter’s demise. However, Trina shared that she was right in the room with Traci when she passed and that there was no conversation.
For the viewers who are not aware, Traci Braxton passed away on March 12, 2022. Before her demise, she shared her wishes with her family, where she mentioned that she didn’t want to have a funeral because she didn’t want everyone to be sad because of her.
However, Traci’s husband, Kevin Sr, went against his late wife’s wishes and organized a public memorial and a virtual memorial for those who couldn’t attend the funeral physically. Neither the Braxton sisters nor their mother attended the event hosted by Kevin Senior.
When Toni expressed her concerns and shared that they should talk to Kevin Sr. about the whole funeral thing. After learning about this, Trina confessed,
"Toni has always tried to be the Peacekeeper of the family. It's probably because she's the oldest. But I'm no way in the right frame of mind to meet with Traci's widower."
While Trina didn’t seem sure about having this conversation with Kevin Sr, Toni asked that it be all of them, and they would have to "agree to disagree but agree to" discuss it.
After the conversation with Toni over the call, Trina confessed that Toni could "bless her heart" as she tried to make peace with Kevin Sr.
