The Voice season 26 episode 16 premiered on November 25, 2024, on NBC. The episode featured The Playoffs Part 2 and Coches Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire had to decide which two contestants would advance from their team.
Jeremy Beloate represented Team Snoop and brought his coach to tears with his performance of Broadway hit The Impossible Dream (The Quest). Snoop was very proud of his team member's presentation and said only a few singers could bring tears to his eyes.
"I'm over here shedding tears of joy, man. You made me feel like I was sitting at a real Broadway play. I'm crying, and I don't care because my seat next to me. She's [Reba] crying. So I guess it's OK to cry," Snoop told the contestant.
Coaches Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé returned to the panel in episode 16 with Carson Daly as the host.
The Voice coach reacts to Jeremy Beloate's tear-jerking performance
The Voice coach Snoop Dogg stole Jeremy Beloate from Team Bublé in The Knockouts Part 3. The contestant had the chance in The Voice season 26 episode 16 to prove to his new team leader that he was worth the steal.
Jeremy chose Josh Groban's rendition of the Broadway song The Impossible Dream (The Quest) for his performance. He dedicated the presentation to his late brothers, who lost their lives to addiction,
The Voice season 26 contestant shared that his brothers never had the chance to pursue their dreams. In their honor, he vowed to chase his own, earning a spot in the Live semi-finals.
Snoop Dogg advised the singer to use his singing to heal himself and everyone watching him. Jeremy took the advice to the heart and gave an emotional performance.
The performance moved Snoop and Reba to tears, as they were deeply touched by the emotion in his voice and singing.
"I haven't been that touched listening to anybody sing until you. You have got a voice that really penetrated my heart. It really got me. I can see you on Broadway. I want to come see you when you're there," Reba said with tears in her eyes.
Snoop was "so proud" of his team member's presentation and shared that he was "shedding tears of joy." He added that he felt like he was sitting at a real Broadway play and didn't care that he cried in front of everyone.
"Something about the way you make me feel. Jeremy, you're a blessing in disguise. I'm so thankful to have you on my team, and I'm thankful to be able to hear you sing. Thank you, brother," Snoop added.
Later, The Voice coach expressed in his confessional that Jeremy possessed "everything in his toolbox" and had the potential to win the competition. He highlighted the emotional depth of the performance, noting that few male singers had ever moved him to tears with their voices.
At the end of the episode, Snoop had to decide which two singers out of his five-member team would advance and represent him in the semi-finals. His first pick was Jeremy Beloate, followed by Christina Eagle.
"Christina is great for live shows because she is a fiery female that can sing good old-fashioned country music. Christina Eagle had one chair turn. She had one wing when I met her, and she got a second wing. And now, as you can see, the eagle has landed," Snoop said about Christina.
The Voice season 26 episode 17, The Playoffs Part 3, will premiere on November 26 on NBC.
