Sister Wives season 19 episode 4 recap: Meri refuses to “third wheel” at Thanksgiving while Kody reflects on the relationship with his kids

Sister Wives season 19 recently released episode 4, which highlighted the Brown family's patriarch Kody's relationship with his children. Sister Wives season 19 episode 4, titled How the Mighty Have Fallen, was released exclusively on TLC on October 6, 2024. The episode synopsis reads:

In this episode, Kody talked about his strained relationship with his daughter Madison. Meanwhile, Sister Wives star Janelle shared that her kids didn't like how their mother was treated which was one of the reasons why they were keeping a distance from their father.

Towards the end of the episode, Robyn told Kody to reach out to his kids more to avoid regret in the future. She opened up about her relationship with her dad and reminded Kody that he wouldn't want to be a father like him.

What happened in Sister Wives season 19 episode 4?

In Sister Wives season 19 episode 4, Kody shared that his children wouldn't talk to him and kept a distance themselves. Robyn encouraged Kody to be more involved in their children's and grandchildren's lives and told him to "reach out" more.

Reflecting on her relationship with her own father, Robyn shared that she and her mom felt alone. Hence, she could understand that the importance of a father's presence in a child's life is important.

Robyn shared that she asked her dad why he wouldn't see her often, to which he made a "bunch of excuses." Talking about Kody and his relationship with his children, Robyn said there was still time to mend the bonds and develop a connection with them.

During her confessional interview, she mentioned that Kody wasn't like her dad and didn't want Kody to regret the decisions he was making in the present.

Meanwhile, Sister Wives cast member Kody opened up about his feelings, mentioning that he was excluded from the family himself. Talking about Madison, he shared she would "gossip" and tell her own mother that he didn't love her.
