Sister Wives is known among reality TV fans for showcasing drama within the Brown family. The Browns consist of husband, Kody Brown, and the four sister wives (Robyn, Christine, Janelle, and Meri), navigating the challenges of their polyamorous relationships.
Currently, the show is airing season 19 and released episode 7 on October 27, 2024, at 10 pm ET. The episode will also be available on Hulu the next day. The previous episodes of the latest season focused on Kody's separation from Meri, Christine, and Janelle.
In episode 7, Kody and Meri settle their differences as they talk about their separation while Christine looks up wedding venues for her upcoming marriage with David.
Christine Brown separated from Kody in late 2021 while Janelle ended their 30-year relationship in 2022 when she left Kody. Meri divorced Kody but remained "spiritually wedded" until their separation in 2023.
What happened in Sister Wives season 19 episode 7?
Meri decided to finally pick up her belongings from Kody's place and took the help of her sister Rebekah and her brother-in-law, Nathan. In a confessional, Meri expressed that she felt strange about the whole situation since they had been together for 32 years.
"The last time I was single was when I was 19. I'm still trying to get my head wrapped around it. It's kind of weird," stated Meri.
Although the court proceeding regarding the separation went smoothly for Meri, she confessed to her sister that she still cried occasionally thinking about the situation. Meri legally divorced Kody in 2014 because the latter wanted to marry Robyn at the time.
The group was later joined by Kody on Sister Wives who decided to help his ex-wife move her belongings. When their divorce was brought up again, Kody remarked that the situation was "sad" which made Meri curious. Kody revealed that he had been having bad days due to the separation but put on a smile to go about his day.
Rebekah confronted Kody by stating that he was the one who wanted to separate which confused Meri. This prompted Kody to state that he was "guilty of marrying people" he wasn't in love with. Janelle was asked about it in her confessional and she replied by simply stating that Kody has amnesia about past events.
Kody expressed that he didn't wish for anyone to stay in terrible relationships including his ex-wives. Recalling his childhood when he followed the news of Sonny and Cher's public divorce, Kody expressed that he was devastated by learning that separation was even possible after a marriage.
Christine went to Red Cliffs Lodge in Utah with her partner David on Sister Wives as they tried to finalize a venue for their wedding. In their joint confessional, the couple was equally excited about the prospect of getting married and exploring wedding locations. Both wanted a venue that could fit about 300 people since they had big families including children and grandchildren.
David expressed happiness regarding not going to Vegas for the wedding proceedings and the couple ultimately decided to make tents outside the venue to accommodate a large gathering. While looking around, Christine disclosed that Janelle and her kids were invited to the upcoming wedding but she wasn't ready to be around Meri, Robyn, and Kody.
Christine found love when David came into her life and she expressed the desire for close family members and friends to get along in the wedding.
"Our biggest hope for the wedding is to have everyone there. Really, to have all of our kids be there to support us and just be surrounded by family. That's the vision," said Christine.
As the episode of Sister Wives concluded, the show teased what's to come next week. Meri was shown coming to terms with being single as she celebrated her birthday. The drama continues as some of Christine's children fail to acknowledge her relationship with David as the latter visited them.
Sister Wives airs on Sundays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
