Sister Wives season 19 premiere: Recap explored

Sister Wives season 19 premiered on September 15, 2024, showcasing Kody Brown's life after going through three separations with his wives. The reality show continues to focus on Kody and his large family as they go through ups and downs.

Due to the separation, Kody and Robyn Brown had to decide if they still wanted to build a house at the Kyote (Coyote) Pass property. They were split on the decision, and Kody lost his motivation to rebuild a happy family.

Further, Kody and Robyn attended Mykelti's baby shower, where they had the potential to face Christine Allred after months of not seeing her. Though Christine saw the couple, she chose not to interact with them.

Kody and Robyn discuss Kyote Pass property's future

In the premiere episode of Sister Wives season 19, Kody and Robyn visited the Kyote (Coyote) Pass property to discuss its future. Kody had bought the place so that he and his family could build houses close to each other and live together. However, after his split with his ex-Christine, the plan fell apart, and Kody was disheartened.

During his confessional, Kody shared that Christine was given a share of this property, and she took her share equity with her. Kody said:

"When Christine moved, she took the equity from her home that basically we as a family had bought her."

Christine said in her confessional that she sold her share because she didn't want to do anything with the place after her breakup with Kody. She added that she wanted a "clean break" from Kody's life, and the decision made it emotionally "easier to just let go."

In Sister Wives season 19 episode 1, Kody and Robyn talked about what they wanted to do with the property and if they still wanted to build the family house. Christine didn't want to be a part of the plan, so they discussed whether Meri Barber was interested. Kody thought that Meri might be interested, however, Robyn told him that she felt that Meri too was not considering moving to the place.

In her confessional, Meri shared that her relationship with Kody was not working and that he wasn't interested in her anymore. She further added that she doesn't want to be with him if he doesn't want her.

By the end of their conversation, Kody told Robyn that he wasn't interested in building their place at Kyote (Coyote) Pass and would rather sell it.

Kody and Robyn attend Mykelti's baby shower

Later in episode 1 of Sister Wives season 19, Kody and Robyn attended Kody and Christine's daughter Mykelti's baby shower. The couple was a bit worried that they would have to interact with Christine, who was also present at the baby shower.

Christine too was nervous about facing Kody and Robyn. In her confessional, she said that she thought it would be okay and she would be able to manage her interaction with her ex. However, when Kody and Robyn arrived at the baby shower, Christine said that she felt uneasy.

Christine said:

"It's hard and I don't know what's gonna happen... This is a gamble... this is a gamble. I imagined everything's gonna be okay but the last time we saw each other was like a year ago... it was not okay."

Further in her confessional, Christine realized that the event was about Mykelti and not about her. She said that her daughter would be happy to see all the family members together. She said:

"And then I just keep being like it's about Mykelti and it's not even about me. She [Mykelti] would everybody to get back together and be one big family again."

However, Christine said that she did not want to interact with the couple in the Sister Wives episode because things were over from her side and she wanted to stick with that.
