TLC will premier Sister Wives season 19 on Sunday, September 15, at 10 pm ET. The trailer for Season 19, released by TLC on August 13, 2024, confirms the return of Kody Brown, Robyn, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and David Woolley.

It's a hard season for Kody as he deals with three splits. The Sister Wives season 19 trailer shows Kody being overwhelmed by a lot of issues. Kody has to deal with Meri filing for divorce and Janelle wanting to get away from him and start a new life.

The man couldn't seem to get a break as Christine would be bringing her new husband, David, to meet everyone, and his relationship with Robyn is also going downhill.

The synopsis for the season is as follows:

“Janelle doesn’t need a divorce and is just moving on, which for her means moving away from Flagstaff. Christine has found her soulmate, David. In less than a year, they go on their first date, move in together, and then marry at a beautiful wedding surrounded by family and friends in Moab, Utah.”

3 major takeaways from Sister Wives season 19 trailer

1) Kody says Meri should blame herself if he doesn't love her

The Sister Wives season 19 trailer starts with the group mourning the death of Janelle and Kody’s son, Garrison Brown. Meri has decided to file for divorce with Kody. She says that she and Kody are officially done and their marriage is over.

After hearing the news from Meri, Kody says that it's not the divorce that he is sad about, it's "marrying the wrong person" that affects him the most.

While talking to the camera later in the Sister Wives season 19 trailer, Kody lets the viewers know that he feels he should have never married Meri in the first place. He continues to say that Meri should blame herself if he doesn't love her.

Kody tells Meri that it has been confusing for him since day one. Meri calls this bulls**t and says that it's not fair for her. She would have preferred if he had told her what he felt years ago.

2) Christine introduces David, and Robyn is losing respect for Kody

After leaving Kody and saying goodbye to their 25 years of marriage, Christine finds David. The pair click instantly and get married in Moab, Utah, within a year of meeting. In the trailer, she introduces her new husband to the Sister Wives fans and later takes him to a party where she talks about David with her former sister wives.

While the three sister wives have gone on their separate ways, Robyn is still with Kody. However, Robyn too seems to find herself drifting away from her husband. She says that "this was not the way that it was supposed to go", referring to the fact that they are now in a monogamous relationship.

Robyn feels like the idiot who got left behind, and while talking to Kody, she confronts him about the same. She says that she is having a hard time feeling like she is losing respect for him. Kody responds that he can’t even get it straight with her right now.

3) Tensions between Kody and Janelle

Things between Kody and Janelle are pretty rough as well. While talking to her sister wife Christine Brown, Janelle explains that Kody and her are not working anymore.

Janelle says that she wants to buy herself out of the Coyote Pass property in Arizona, however, Kody doesn't listen to her. She thinks that she would have to lawyer up against Kody if she wanted to buy herself out.

After losing their son, Janelle just wants to move on with her new life. Kody on the other hand calls this situation “such a teenage drama.”

Janelle thinks that she and Kody are not compatible with each other, and nothing can make their relationship better. They did come close after the death of their son, but that too didn't last for long.

Sister Wives season 19 will premier on Sunday, September 15, at 10 pm ET on TLC.
