Netflix’s The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 finale, released on December 18, 2024, brought dramatic decisions and emotional moments as couples faced their ultimatums. The show, known for its relationship challenges, tests couples by pairing them with trial partners, before they decide whether to stay together, get engaged, or break up.

The finale and reunion gave viewers closure on some stories, while sparking debates on others. One of the most talked-about cast members is Sandy. Throughout the season, her connection with her trial partner, J.R., created issues in her relationship with Nick.

During the finale, Sandy’s emotional speech before rejecting Nick’s proposal left many viewers skeptical. When he reached into his pocket for the ring, she admitted she wasn’t sure about getting engaged to him.

“I want nothing more than to walk out of here engaged with you,” she however said.

Fans took to X and criticized her tears as “fake” and questioned the sincerity of her emotions.

"Sandy is so fake. She's not upset. Not one tear or real emotion. Nick is better without her too. This is why old men need to date women closer to their age. Unless the older man is rich...most likely the young woman isnt gping to marry you," an X user wrote.
"Sandy’s fake white woman tears!!! I bet she was like omg I’m going to get soo famous from this," another fan commented.
"Sandy loves crying…girl save the tears please," one fan said.
"Sandy has perfected the white woman victim tears," a netizen tweeted

Fans of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On criticized her intentions with Nick, accusing her of keeping him uncertain about their future.

"Sandy playing like she really wanted to be with her dude.. but yet she couldn’t commit.. she done got a piece of JayR and now she needs to leave single so she can spin the block back to him since he’s single too now" a fan tweeted.
"Sandy not ready for marriage…why can’t Nick realize that," a tweet read.

In the finale of The Ultimatum, Nick appeared hesitant but ultimately reached for a proposal, only for Sandy to decline. Her tearful statement about wanting to be with him confused viewers, especially given her earlier feelings for J.R. Nick responded with frustration, accusing Sandy of sending mixed signals, which marked the end of their relationship.

"It doesn’t sound that way. No kidding!" he said.

The Ultimatum reunion provided more context about their breakup. Nick shared that he had started therapy after the show, while Sandy explained her emotional reaction, claiming it was genuine. Vanessa, Nick’s trial partner, also joined the conversation, sharing her difficult experience with him and offering support to Sandy.
