“So much better”— Sister Wives star Christine opens up about her separation to Meri

Sister Wives season 19 episode 9 aired on November 10, 2024, on TLC. The episode featured an emotional conversation between Christine and Meri. As fans know, Kody Brown, the patriarch of the Brown family, married Meri before starting a polygamous relationship with Janelle in 1993. Since then, Christine and Robyn, Kody's other two wives, have also joined the family.

Sister Wives stars Meri and Christine discuss parting ways with Kody

In Sister Wives season 19 episode 9, Meri and Christine had a conversation about their respective separation from Kody. Meri asked Christine how she was doing since the couple parted ways. They both became emotional discussing their split and expressed their love for each other.

The two cast members hugged, and Christine reassured Meri about her decision. Later in the episode, Meri also spoke with Janelle, opening up about her wish that things could have gone differently. She continued:

"Plugging through. It's just weird, let's be real. I mean, I wish things, you know, in the family could have gone a different way."

Christine was the first wife to part ways with Kody in November 2021, followed by Janelle in December 2022. Later, Meri announced her split from Kody in January 2023, officially terminating the marriage through the church after a spiritual separation.

Meanwhile, Sister Wives star Janelle stated that she was at "peace" since she took her own path after separating from Kody. She elaborated:

"Kody and I have officially said, even though this was the understanding, we've officially said it's not working. I just think I need something different."
