Love Is Blind UK, the British version of the popular Netflix dating series, concluded with its reunion episode on August 26, 2024. Like the original, 30 participants entered the pods to find a life partner, forming connections without seeing each other.

Six couples—Catherine and Freddie, Demi and Ollie, Jasmine and Bobby, Maria and Tom, Nicole and Benaiah, and Sabrina and Steven—were featured on the show and later went to Greece for their honeymoons. Although Catherine and Freddie made it to the altar, Freddie ultimately decided to end their relationship before getting married. In the reunion episode, the couples reconnected a year later and discussed their relationships with hosts Matt and Emma Willis.

Freddie's sister, Betsy-Dora, stood by his brother's side in the finale but just before the wedding, planted the seeds of doubt in Freddie's mind regarding their relationship. She explained that even though she would stand by Freddie's side no matter what happened, she felt the couple were on "different pages".

The topic was brought up again in the reunion when Emma Willis asked Betsy-Dora about her stance in the finale. She expressed that she stands by the advice she had given back then to his brother even if she thought the couple were wonderful together.

"I have cried every time Freddie's come on telly, every time I've seen the proposal, every time I've seen the reveal because the connection was real... But when Freddie did come back from there, and the retreat, I could see he was very reserved, that something wasn't quite right," said Betsy-Dora.

Freddie and Catherine's journey on Love Is Blind UK explored

In episode 1 of Love Is Blind UK, Catherine and Freddie connected over various topics, including their daily routines and Freddie’s brother, who has Down syndrome. They bonded over their shared love of the gym, and Catherine revealed she teaches swimming to people with Down syndrome, deepening their connection.

However, their journey wasn’t smooth, as Catherine also formed a bond with Ollie in the pods. Ollie later realized his connection with Catherine was surface-level, and with Freddie waiting for Catherine and Demi waiting for Ollie, they chose not to pursue it further.

Catherine and Freddie went to Greece and connected further emotionally when they met each other's family members. Catherine and Ollie even hashed out their differences during the honeymoon phase and moved on to the next phase of their lives for good.

At the altar, Catherine was left in tears when Freddie decided to not marry Catherine. He stated that he wanted to take the relationship further but was not at the stage where they can marry each other. In the reunion, the couple sat together but quickly revealed they were not together anymore.

Both expressed their gratitude on Love Is Blind UK reunion toward one another with Catherine thanking Freddie for teaching her valuable lessons in relationship. She went on to wish Freddie good luck for his next relationship. Freddie further stated that he would like to be in touch with Catherine for the rest of his life.

"I think we'll stay friends, you know, probably forever, stated Freddie.
