Rodrigo met Tyler Dugas in Charleston through his then-girlfriend. His ex was transferred to the College of Charleston, where she fell in love and got married.
Tyler was her husband's best friend and was introduced to Rodrigo when the Southern Charm star had come to visit his ex in Charleston. The two started off as friends, and over the years, their friendship blossomed into a relationship.
