Summer House season 8 aired a brand new episode on Thursday, April 18, 2024. During the segment, the cast continued to party but the night turned sour for Carl and Lindsay when Carl told the latter about Kyle wanting him back in the business with him.
As per the synopsis,
"Kyle and Amanda work on compromising; West meets Ciara's manager; a career conversation between Carl and Lindsay takes a surprising turn; Danielle and Gabby go for the same guy."
Carl explained to Lindsay that while it was a good opportunity he wanted to pursue other things, he wasn't sure what he wanted to do. Lindsay reminded her fiancé that he promised her that he would have his professional life figured out by the end of the summer.

In Summer House season 8 episode 9, titled, "Close Encounters," Carl sat down with Lindsay to tell her about Kyle Cooke's offer to get back into business with him as part of Lover Boy.
Lindsay asked him how he knew about what Kyle wanted and the Bravo star told Lindsay that he and Kyle had a conversation. Carl Radke said that he told Kyle that he wanted to learn more about it and what the arrangement between them would be if he started working with him again.
Carl added that he felt like he needed some space and a break from Lover Boy. Lindsay told her fiancé that she understood what he meant and compared the situation to going through a breakup. She said,
"But like eventually, you have to pick yourself up after that breakup and you have to move the f*ck on."
Carl reasoned with her and told her that he wanted to pursue other things and Lindsay reminded him that he told her that he would have his professional life figured out by the end of the summer. The Bravo star told him that they were three weeks past the date he set, and didn't want to bother him.
Carl said that he had been thinking about it. The Summer House season 8 star added that it wasn't like he woke up every day and thought "This is how I wanna be." Lindsay said that while she knew what he meant, a big turn-on for her was her "man" "rushing" in life. When Carl asked her if she thought he wasn't like that, Lindsay said "No."
Lindsay told him to consider the fact that they were going to get married soon. She said that it would be "contractually binding" all of these assets together. The season 8 cast member said she didn't know where she would be if they decided to have children. She said that she might want to stay at home and take care of them and needed to be sure that Carl could support their future family.
"I need to know that, like, I have a partner who is also doing anything to bring in any type of money because for me, I need that security."
Carl told his fiancée that if she needed him to go get a job, he would get one. Lindsay interrupted him and said that she wanted him to prioritize, even if it meant going back and working at Lover Boy to make money for their future family.
In a confessional, Carl said,
"I understand that I have a partner that is a go-getter and just wants the best for me. And I just think she gets scared and fearful about getting married to somebody who doesn't have his career figured out."
