Summer House season 8 episode 13- Recap and more details explored

Previously on Summer House season 8, fans saw Kyle and Amanda disagree about Amanda wanting to leave his company, to start something of her own. Episode 12 even saw things hitting the roof as their argument led to Kyle violently breaking a bottle outside the house and yelling at Amanda.

They became the highlight of episode 13, which was released on May 16, Thursday, as they finally came to understand each other's views. Other things that went down in this episode included Carl urging Lindsay to be softer with him; Ciara and West living their best life riding horses, and the revelation of shocking news at Jesse's five-year cancer checkup.

What went down in episode 13 of Summer House season 8?

Kyle and Amanda's tiff continues

After episode 12 saw a drunk Kyle getting violent because he disapproved of Amanda's decision to start something of her own, this episode saw him talk about the same with Carl and Danielle.

He said that he didn't feel appreciated by Amanda and that he felt like the work and efforts he had been putting into Loverboy were for nothing. Amanda, on the other hand, spoke to the ladies. She said Kyle kept asking her what she wanted to do with her life and now when she had the answer, he was having a meltdown.

Carl asks Lindsay to be tender with him

Carl and Lindsay have been discussing the former's career for quite a while now. In episode 13 of Summer House, they decided to talk about it again. Carl said he felt "defeated" when it came to his career and expected Lindsay to show tenderness regarding his choices.

Lindsay said she would be excited if Carl finally started making decisions instead of talking about them. Carl said that he felt like Lindsay was second-guessing him with everything, which made him feel like he couldn't do anything right.

Their conversation once again ended on a bad note, with them questioning their decision to marry each other.

The ladies talk to Kyle

Paige talked to Kyle on Summer House about how excited Amanda would be to have something of her own. She said that Amanda won't go forth with anything if he didn't want her to but that would just push her into a deeper shell. Kyle agreed with her.

Ciara also added that if Amanda wasn't happy, she wouldn't be able to give Kyle much, but the latter didn't want more of this conversation so he left the table mid-conversation.

Kyle works it out

After Kyle went to his room after his conversation with Paige and Ciara, Carl found him. He told Carl that the ladies simply didn't understand where he was coming from because they didn't know the efforts he had put into his company.

Carl advised him to ease the tension and have a happy day. He also said that he couldn't let his company get in the way of his marriage. So Kyle walked up to the pool of Summer House where the ladies were hanging out and told Paige and Ciara that he understood where they were coming from.

When Amanda hugged him, he said he was going to be there for her, and she said she knew he was.

Ciara and West go horse riding while Jesse gets shocking news

When Ciara and West went to ride horses on Summer House, she clarified her intentions to him. She said that she dated people so that she could have a future with them, and if that wasn't something West wanted, she didn't want to waste her time. West told her that they were on the same page.

Back at his five-year cancer checkup, Jesse's doctor told him that he felt something in his testicles, which he wanted to get checked, so he prescribed him an ultrasound.
