Summer House season 8 is finally wrapped up. With the reunion around the corner, fans are excited to see the drama addressed by host Andy Cohen. The finale episode was full of drama, arguments, and conflicts between one of the famous reality TV couples.

One of the main highlights of the season 8 finale episode was Carl and Lindsay calling off their wedding and parting ways due to their relationship problems. Their verbal car fight escalated to the extent that both started recording their conversation.

Summer House season 8 finale episode 15 titled Point of No Return was released exclusively on Bravo TV on Thursday, May 30, 2024. The episode synopsis reads as the following:

"As the final weekend of the summer arrives, the housemates throw a doomsday-themed party; Ciara wonders if West is capable of commitment; Lindsay and Carl reach a breaking point."

What happened in Summer House season 8 finale episode?

During the Summer House season, 8 finale episode, cast members Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard got into an explosive argument which led to them ending their engagement. On the May 30, 2024, episode, the couple discussed how their conversation escalated while they were in the car on the way home from the Hamptons.

Initially, the couple got into a verbal fight when Lindsay explained that she didn't want to go to Montauk but Florida with Carl, for the Labor Day weekend. However, Carl wanted to stay local as they were about to leave for Portugal in a few days.

Unfortunately, they couldn't reach a common ground and Carl made a hurtful comment that made Lindsay click the record button on her phone. Lindsay narrated what had happened:

"[Carl] was like, 'You don't understand, Lindsay, you're a certain way. And I was like, 'I don't understand what you're talking about. If you don't like the person I am, then why did you propose to me?' and in that moment he goes, 'I don't know why I proposed to you,' and that is probably one of the most hurtful things that you can say to someone.'"

The Summer House cast member thought Lindsay was recording to make him seem like an "abusive and horrible" partner, so he also started recording their conversation. Allegedly, Carl was "manipulating the recording" and implied that Lindsay was screaming at him. Lindsay stated:

"Literally in the car [he] goes, 'Stop yelling at me, Lindsay. Stop yelling at me, Lindsay,' And I'm like, 'What?' I'm like, 'Carl, I am literally not yelling at you. I'm trying to set up plans for next weekend with you.'"

In the Summer House finale episode, Carl and Lindsay decided to part ways after Carl called their wedding off, mentioning seven reasons why he decided to split with Lindsay. According to Carl, they both loved each other but he was uncomfortable, unhappy, and hurt in the relationship, so he thought going their separate ways would be better.

The Summer House contestant mentioned he was not ready for marriage and that their communication wouldn't improve anytime soon. Lindsay left in between the conversation and the two slept in separate bedrooms.

The Summer House season 8 two-part reunion will be available to stream on Bravo and the next day on Peacock on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
