Episode 8 of Survivor season 46, titled Hide 'N Seek, aired on Wednesday, April 17. It began with the aftermath of Soda Thompson's elimination from the previous episode. After Jeff Probst's two groups reunited, discussions erupted over who was responsible for sending Soda home, with several cast members claiming credit. Venus believed she was instrumental, but Tevin felt it was his grand scheme, so the two got into a fight.

As per the synopsis of the episode,

"After a big blindside, multiple castaways claim credit for the elimination, stirring the pot among their fellow tribemates."

Several disagreements led to one cast member asking to be voted out during the episode. However, his plan failed as someone else was eliminated from the segment.

Q asks to be voted out in Survivor season 46 episode 8

In Survivor season 46 episode 8, several cast members were at odds in light of last week's double elimination. The cast was divided into two groups, and each sent someone packing in episode 7.

Episode 8 began with the aftermath of the voteout, and the contestants were surprised to see Venus still in the game. They were equally shocked to see that Soda had been eliminated.

When the castmates gathered, an argument between Venus and Tevin broke out as each tried to take credit for sending Soda home from Survivor season 46, but they were not the only ones. Liz also believed that she was the one who orchestrated the elimination, since she had been targeting Soda since the first day.

The following day, Q suggested that they play Hide 'N Seek as he wanted to figure out everyone's game plan. He successfully gathered insights about Liz's competitive nature and was shocked by how easy it was for Ben and Hunter to hide. The latter had climbed a tree and was the last to be found.

While everyone hid in the jungle, Charlie was tasked with seeking the castaways out. Apart from Q, there was another player who was able to analyze the contestants' gameplay. Venus recognized certain characteristics in some of the castaways. Per her observations, Tiffany didn't know how to conceal minor details, while Maria's adaptability came to light.

Later in the segment, the contestants gathered at the beach for another challenge. Host Jeff Probst told the Survivor cast that the challenge was one of his favorites in the history of the show. It required them to hang on a pole for as long as possible in order to win enough rice to last the duration of the CBS show.

However, to win the bag of rice, four contestants needed to opt out of the competition, or two people had to give up their votes at the next tribal council. Since nobody wanted to take themselves out of the race, Q and Liz volunteered, but since they were the only ones, the competition continued as it was supposed to, and nobody earned the rice. Hunter held on to the pole for the longest and earned immunity from the upcoming elimination.

At the tribal council, Q expressed his desire to go home and asked the rest of the Survivor season 46 cast members to vote him out. While the contestants were taken aback, Tevin told the group to listen to the contestant and respect his wishes.

The cast had separate conversations within their alliances about who to send home, and Q was worried that Tiffany would be eliminated. However, ultimately, Tiffany had zero votes against her, while Venus had one. The person with the most votes was Tevin, who was eliminated from the reality show.

Survivor season 46 will return next week with another episode on CBS.
