As one of the longest-running reality competition shows in television history, Survivor has consistently pushed contestants to their limits. This week, the first part of the two-part season finale, titled Bob and Weave, carved the competition from six players down to four.

The remaining contestants, Rachel LaMont, Sam Phalen, Teeny Chirichillo, and Sue Smey, now face the final stretch of the game, where every move is critical. Each contestant has used a combination of physical challenges, alliances, and social gameplay to reach this stage of the competition.

Following two immunity challenges and two tribal councils, the final four contestants of Survivor Season 47 are now preparing for the final challenges and jury deliberations, and the stakes have never been higher.

1) Rachel LaMont

Rachel LaMont, a 34-year-old graphic designer from Southfield, Michigan, highlighted her social connections as a key element in her gameplay. During the pre-show interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rachel described herself as "down-to-earth, bubbly, and determined, " underscoring her ability to form strong relationships with fellow contestants.

Rachel explained that her experience living in Thailand and the U.S. gave her the skills to navigate social dynamics, which she believes has been essential in gaining trust among her tribe members.

She mentioned that her strategy involves positioning herself as a "not too weak but not too physical, smart but not the smartest in the room" player. Rachel emphasized her ability to blend in while staying observant, allowing her to make calculated moves when necessary.

She explained that her approach is to maintain balance and build trust without becoming a dominant figure, which she believes has helped her remain in the game.

2) Sam Phalen

Sam Phalen is a 24-year-old sports reporter from Nashville, Tennessee. In the interview with Entertainment Weekly before the show, he described himself as "passionate, stubborn, and ambitious." He highlighted his background in sports media as an asset, noting that it had equipped him with the skills to build relationships, read people, and gather crucial information.

Sam mentioned that his ability to connect with others and understand their motivations has been vital to his progress in the game. He explained that her gameplay is influenced by past Survivor players like Michele Fitzgerald and Devon Pinto, who used social strategies to remain under the radar before making a strong push toward the end.

Sam underscored his ability to adapt to different groups and work with a variety of personalities, emphasizing his capacity to remain competitive in both physical and strategic challenges.

3) Teeny Chirichillo

Teeny Chirichillo is a 23-year-old freelance writer from Manahawkin, New Jersey. During the pre-show interview with Entertainment Weekly, she described herself as "social, mischievous, and introspective." She mentioned her deep understanding of the game as a longtime fan of Survivor, explaining that her familiarity with past players’ strategies has shaped her approach.

Teeny emphasized that her ability to connect with others socially has allowed her to navigate complex relationships and form alliances. She highlighted that her strategy involves working with players who share similar qualities, such as intelligence and a sense of humor.

Teeny underscored her tendency to gravitate toward eccentric personalities and noted that she values strategic thinking in her alliance partners. She explained that her social game is a major strength and believes that her underestimated physical and strategic attributes have helped her survive in the competition.
