Survivor season 47 episode 8 premiered on November 6 on CBS and marked the return of the classic auction. The contestants could use the cash they had accumulated to bid on various items presented at the auction.

After Kyle and Sue secured immunity in the challenge, ensuring their safety at the upcoming tribal council, Andy began to strategize against his former Gata teammates. He proposed targeting Sam and Sierra as his next move.

The tribal council ended in a tie between Sam and Sierra, prompting the contestants to undergo a revote to determine who would be voted out. With eight votes cast against her in the revote, Sierra was eliminated. Despite her departure, she handled the elimination with grace and was announced as the first member of the jury.

How did Sierra Wright get eliminated in Survivor season 47 episode 8?

The classic auction made a thrilling return in Survivor Season 47, Episode 8. However, this time, the stakes were higher. Contestants could only participate in the auction if they managed to find cash hidden throughout the jungle.

The castaways began their search and looked through all the bamboo tubes they could to find any amount of cash in it. Sierra excelled in the challenge and collected an impressive amount of $1,060, which was the highest among the castaways.

With the collected amount the contestants could bid for anything that was presented in the auction. Sol used her amount for a bowl of chips and soda, while Teeny took mac and cheese.

Sierra used her $800 to snatch a mystery item that was revealed to contain a combination of salsa, margaritas, chips, and guacamole. Sam was left with the most money at the end and it resulted in him losing his vote at tribal council.

The auction came in with an interesting twist when Rachel found a hidden advantage tucked inside her fries. The advantage was later revealed to be a hidden immunity idol.

Later in the episode, Kyle and Sue triumphed in the Immunity Challenge, securing their safety from the impending elimination. As Tribal Council loomed, tensions rose as contestants began tossing out names of those they wanted to send home. Andy, seizing the opportunity, suggested that everyone target his former Gata teammates, Sam and Sierra, setting the stage for a tense showdown.

Andy’s strategy to turn the tide against his former teammates paid off, resulting in a four-way tie between Sierra and Sam. To resolve the deadlock, the Survivor 47 contestants were forced to revote. The second round of voting swung in Sam's favor, and the majority of votes were cast against Sierra.

When host Jeff Probst revealed that Sierra was the eighth player voted out of the game, she addressed the tribe with grace. She told them that if they had eliminated her because they saw her as the biggest threat, she would be honored by it, showing respect for their strategic decision.
