“That hurts me a lot” — Too Hot To Handle star Demari expresses regret over Bri after listening to his mother’s message

Too Hot To Handle season 6 episode 6 featured a special activity for the male housemates called Womb for Improvement. After the workshop was finished, many of the participants were emotional. All the participants heard a voice message from their mothers regarding relationships.

Demari had quite an emotional response after listening to his mother’s message. So, after listening to the message, Demari cried and shared:

"It feels like I keep making the same mistakes. I definitely am actually hurting Bri and wish I had handled her feelings better. That hurts me a lot."

Later, upon hearing his mother’s entire message and relationship advice, he was speechless in the confessional. Demari also cried and decided to talk with Bri; he thought he needed to apologize for hurting her.

According to Lana, all the male housemates needed an emergency male-only workshop to understand and respect female housemates. For that, she invited Shan Boodram, a relationship expert on the show. After Shan’s announcement, male housemates listened to a voice note from their mothers. Demari’s mother’s message started with:

"Hi Demari. This is Mom sending love to you from Phoenix, Arizona. I want you to dig down deep and face some harsh realities about yourself that you can improve upon. My advice to you would be to treat the woman in your life the way you would expect somebody to treat your mom."

The message continued:

"And if the treatment that you’re giving that woman, would not be acceptable if someone did that to me, then it is not acceptable for the woman in your life. Respect is number one. Come home bigger and better than ever. I love you, son."

Shan described his mother’s message as “the golden rule.”

Demari was quite emotional and ended up in tears while in confession. He was speechless for some time. Later, he shared that:

"That’s what I should be telling myself whenever I’m dealing with women. And it’s a big part of all the things that I’ve kind of been lacking."

He talked about his behavior toward Bri and his former connection on the show. However, he realized his mistake after the activity and his mother’s message. He also realized how much he had hurt Bri by kissing Valentina.

Demari also felt more connected to his mother and decided to make a heart-to-heart apology to Bri. As a result of his deep conversation with Bri, she accepted the apology, and they got back together. Too Hot To Handle season 6 episode 6, had a happy ending for Demari.
