Love is Blind season 7 premiered on Netflix on October 2, 2024, and saw singles from the Washington, DC, area try to find love through the social experiment. The season followed the same format at the previous seasons, with couples trying to build connections without having seen their partners.
Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis were one such couple who found love and got engaged on Love is Blind season 37. The two managed to communicate well with each other and stated that it was one of the most important facets of their relationship. However, Ashley was disappointed when Tyler waited too long to share his past as a sperm donor.
The 24-year-old account manager revealed that he had three kids from when he was a sperm donor. He added that he was just helping his best friend and her partner and hadn't met the children.
However, Bri Thomas, the mother of Tyler's babies, took to Instagram on October 20, 2024, to share a five-part explanation refuting the Love is Blind star's claims. She said that while their first son Kyreaux was conceived through sperm donation, their twin daughters, Kali and Kamari, were a result of "natural, unplanned intercourse."
Bri added that Tyler was actively involved in the lives of the three kids and criticized the Love is Blind star for disregarding them. Accusing him of "lying on national television" about never meeting his children, Bri said that it "all hurts" her and the kids.
“That all hurts. I understand. This is for everyone’s entertainment. But this is our real lives. And, you know, it sucks. It really sucks,” she added.
Bri Thomas shares Love is Blind star Tyler’s contribution to their children's lives
In her five-part explanation video, Bri Thomas shared that Tyler Francis had helped her and her ex-wife conceive their eldest child, Kyreaux. She added that initially, they had come to an understanding that Tyler was "not supposed to assume a father role in Kyreaux’s life.”
However, after Bri's ex-wife left her, she had to raise her son as a single mother when Tyler offered to step in and provide support. She added that they had a "deep discussion" about the situation and what it would mean for them.
“We had a deep discussion about what that would mean for him to be stepping up as a father to Kyreaux and what it would look like as far as financial responsibility, helping out, being an active parent in his life, being present,” Bri explained.
She continued to say that she accepted Tyler's offer to take on the role of father to Kyreaux, and he soon became an integral part of their lives. Just before their son's first birthday, they became s*xually involved, and it led to the conception of their now five-year-old twins, Kali and Kamari.
Bri claimed that the Love is Blind contestant was present throughout her "entire pregnancy" and during the birth of the twins.
“He signed the birth certificate. He cut the umbilical cord. His mom and sister came and visited me in the hospital, visited us in the hospital after the twins were born. Again, there has never been any confusion or additional context surrounding the twins’ origin,” she said.
The pair agreed to live together as a family of five with the understanding that they could date other people. Bri also shared that Tyler visited them a day before leaving for Love is Blind season 7, and she wished him luck, hoping he would find the love of his life on the show.
However, the mother of three was disheartened when she found that Tyler initially kept their kids a secret and “disowned” them after sharing his past with Ashley.
“I can’t wrap my head around why he felt the best way to do that would be to cut off the kids. Then, to make matters worse, lie on national television and say they’re merely sperm babies and they don’t know what he looks like,” she said.
Bri concluded by saying that she prayed every day that the children "don't grow up and see any of this." She said that she was ready for "it all to be over," noting that at some point she would get the financial support she felt like they are owed.
