Love is Blind on Netflix has become popular among fans because of its premise of connecting couples based on emotional bonds, before they can meet in person. Season 7 had some of the most intense relationships yet. The October 30, 2024, reunion episode gave cast members a chance to talk about their pasts, share new updates, and settle any unresolved issues.

One of the most discussed moments from the Love is Blind reunion is Hannah Jiles' candid reflection on her communication style. During the reunion, she acknowledged her bluntness while addressing how her approach may have impacted her relationships on the show.

"I’m very to the point and very direct. That’s just who I am," Hannah stated.

In her conversation with hosts Vanessa and Nick Lachey, Hannah explained her straightforward nature, stating that she believes in saying exactly what’s on her mind. While her honesty often led to friction, she expressed that her intentions were always genuine, despite any misunderstandings that arose.

Hannah opens up about her "direct" communication style in Love is Blind reunion

During the Love is Blind season 7 reunion, Hannah addressed her tendency to be direct, describing how she often speaks her mind without sugarcoating her thoughts. She explained to the Lacheys that it is simply part of her personality, sharing that she sometimes comes across as “harsh” but feels it is an authentic reflection of herself.

She added that she doesn’t always realize how her words affect others until afterward. Hannah said,

"I'm just direct; it's harsh, it's bad. I know. This past year I've worked on it... But that's inherently who I am... I just need to work on how direct I am.”

Reflecting on her journey, she admitted that while her words were honest, it was often how she expressed them that led to conflicts. Even though some people thought she was being rude, Hannah said that her honest approach was meant to get her point across, even if it sometimes led to misunderstandings.

Other cast members, however, had mixed feelings about this approach. Some liked her honesty, while others thought she was being too direct.

Cast members react to Hannah’s apology and confrontations in the Love is Blind reunion

As the Love is Blind season 7 reunion progressed, Hannah apologized for moments when her directness may have come across as unkind, specifically to her ex-fiancé Nick. She admitted to being “cruel” at times and acknowledged that her blunt remarks could have been hurtful. She said to Nick,

"And I'm sorry I was so cruel to you. I am."

However, this apology didn’t erase the friction between her and Nick, as Hannah confronted him about comments he allegedly made after their breakup. She claimed that Nick had referred to her as a “grenade” and made other negative remarks, which Nick initially denied.

Hannah then accused Nick of participating in the show Love is Blind for fame. After their breakup, she found a note in his apartment where he had written that he wanted to be the most famous person on the show. When the host asked Nick if it was true, he said yes. However, he stated it was just a casual 90-day goal, and he didn't think too much before writing it.

The accusations got responses from other cast members as well, with Ramses and Stephen confirming that they’d heard similar statements about Hannah from Nick. The cast members supported Hannah, with Marissa noting that while Hannah’s style was blunt, Nick’s reported comments seemed disrespectful.
