The Bachelorette season 21 episode 2 was released exclusively on ABC on July 15, 2024. Episode 2 featured the 18 guys going on two group dates with the show lead, Jenn Tran, as they attempted to get to know her one-on-one.
The Bachelor Nation fans could sense a bit of rivalry between cast members, Aaron and Devin. As Devin was trying to steal Jenn for some alone time throughout the group date, the other guys did not like it. Amidst this, Jenn enjoyed having a conversation with Grant and bonded well. Impressed with his responses, Jenn gave the first group rose to Grant.
Later in the episode, Jenn went on a skydiving date (one-on-one) with a 31-year-old Army Ranger veteran, Marcus, and presented him with a rose. Then, during the second group date at a wildlife shoot, Jenn chose Dylan and gave him a rose. Brian, Marvin, and Jahaan didn't get enough chance to stand out or draw Jenn's attention towards them during the dates, leading to their elimination.
Here's the episode 2 synopsis:
"Jenn and her suitors jet-set to Melbourne, Australia, and continue their journey to find love; Jenn and a group of the men explore Melbourne's culinary delicacies; Jenn and one lucky man embark on a skydiving adventure."
Brian, Marvin, and Jahaan went home on The Bachelorette season 21 episode 2
In episode 2 of The Bachelorette season 21, Jenn Tran went on two group dates. During the first one, she opened up to Grant about her parent's divorce and the struggle of working at an early age (14). In response, Grant shared that he was ready to become a father. He received the rose for the first group date.
Meanwhile, Jenn gave a rose to Marcus for the skydiving date and another one to Dylan for the animal photoshoot date.
Apart from these three contestants who already had roses, Jenn chose 12 other guys at the rose ceremony who could stay on the show. The list included Austin, Spencer, Jeremy, Hakeem, Jonathon, Thomas N., Tomas A., Sam M., John, Devin, Sam N., and Aaron.
As a result, Brian, Marvin, and Jahaan were eliminated from the show. ABC bio described Jahaan as a 28-year-old startup founder from New York, known for his "outgoing, ambitious, and creative" nature. Unfortunately, fans couldn't see much of his chemistry build-up with Jenn on The Bachelorette season 21.
He was looking for a partner who could appreciate little things in life - someone who was family-oriented and liked to take care of others.
On the other hand, Marvin hailed from Santa Monica, California. A luxury event planner by profession, Marvin joined the cast of The Bachelorette season 21 in hopes of finding his love match with Jenn. He was searching for the right partner to start a family with, someone he could openly communicate with. Fans wanted to see more of him but Marvin's appearance on the ABC show ended too soon.
Brian's journey was also cut short on the show after he was sent home in episode 2. The 33-year-old Aesthetics Consultant from Boynton Beach, Florida, wanted to meet the "woman of his dreams" and his "partner in crime." However, he was disappointed after his elimination. According to his bio, Brain had also worked in the NYPD and FDNY and liked to spend his free time with his family.
To see Marvin, Brian, and Jahaan's journey on the show, stream The Bachelorette season 21 episodes 1 and 2 exclusively on ABC. The upcoming episode 3 is set to be released on July 22, 2024, which will further showcase who Jenn is drawn towards. With seven men sent home in episode 1 and three eliminated in episode 2, fifteen cast members are still in the competition.
