John M., Austin, Thomas N., and Dylan went home on The Bachelorette season 21
On The Bachelorette season 21, Matt Rosi clarified he didn't want to take away the fair chance of 11 guys competing on the show. He also said he wanted Jenn to have the best experience and find her potential love match. Even though some viewers expected him to join the cast, that wasn't the case. Before departing, Rosi said:
"She feels confident that you guys can offer her something I can’t, and I’m just here to apologize. I’m not here to take anything away from your experience. I wish you all the best. I wish her the best."
After the first rose ceremony, John M. and Thomas N. were eliminated. Some viewers were upset with this decision while others wanted to see who Jenn was connecting emotionally with. When it was time for a group date on a farm with seven guys Devin, Sam, Marcus, Spencer, Jeremy, Dylan, and Austin, Austin shared he no longer wanted to be on the show.
He was one of the cast members who didn't get a chance to get to know Jenn one-on-one. Austin told The Bachelorette season 21 lead that he couldn't compete with the guys and wanted to go home. He said:
“You have amazing guys here who are ready to give you everything you deserve. With the way things are going for me on this journey, I don’t think I can do that.”
Surprisingly, Tran got emotional at Austin's self-elimination. She started doubting her decision-making skills and overthinking if she would end up having no love match after the show ended. During her confessional interview, Tran told the cameras that her insecurities and fears were coming true after another self-elimination. She questioned:
“Am I just doing a bad job?”
Later in the episode, Jenn revealed that the 24-year-old medical student from Elk Grove, California, Dylan was eliminated as well. Stream The Bachelorette season 21 exclusively on ABC.
