The Challenge is one of the longest airing reality shows on TV and MTV has announced the 40th season to be released on 14 August at 8 pm ET/PT on MTV's official website and Paramount+.
With a blend of veteran contestants and fresh faces, TJ Lavin will host the show. The 40th season aims to feature twists and turns that will keep both the competitors and the audience on the edge of their seats. The synopsis of the show reads:
“The path to glory is far from easy, as they must first compete at the Era Invitational and eliminate the weakest links from within their own Challenge Era, for only the best will earn a coveted spot on their team. With relentless, new challenges and twists, these seasoned Veterans are perpetually kept on their toes in the game they thought they had mastered."
Dubbed The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras, the new season brings together 40 fan-favorite challengers, in a group of 4, from various seasons to win the cash prize of $1 million. Each contestant will represent their respective era in this battle that spans generations.
Fans can get a sneak peek of the upcoming season when The Challenge 40: Battle for of the Eras: Countdown Begins special airs on 7 August.
