The Challenge: All Stars season 4 finale aired on June 19, 2024. The prize money was set to $250,000 and the 8 finalists included Veronica, Derek Chavez, Leroy Garrett, Ace Merson, Nicole Zanatta, Cara Maria Sorbello, Laurel Stucky, and Steve Meinke.
By the end of the show, Laurel Stucky won the title. As seen on the show, the contributing reason behind her win was ultimately a team effort. Laurel had collected more stars from fellow eliminated contestants. Unlike Cara, she could skip tasks by using stars, while other competitors had to complete all the tasks.
After the show ended, Cara learned about alleged manipulative things that Laurel had been allegedly spreading throughout the season. Two-time champion Cara Maria Sorbello shared her feelings during an interview with Entertainment Weekly on June 19. Maria stated:
"I feel like I won. And that win came with a little bit of an asterisk. But a win's a win. Her check cashes, mine doesn't — but I mean, let's be real."
The Challenge: All Stars season 4's Cara Maria Sorbello on competing with Laurel Stucky
After The Challenge: All Stars finale, Cara Maria revealed that she already knew the game was unpredictable. She mentions the reason to be mainly because nobody knows who will give their star to whom. Whenever someone gets eliminated, they give their star to one of their fellow contestants.
Whoever has more stars gets ahead in the game without performing that particular task. Cara had thought of giving her star to Leroy. She shared with Entertainment Weekly:
"You know what? I'll give this to Leroy so he's got a shot. Maybe this will make up for a million years ago when I had him go into the elimination — where he still made it to the final anyways."
When she was asked about competing with Laurel, Cara said:
"There's only so much I can do. I'm five-four, and I am maybe a buck 40 if I really put in a lot of work. There's only so much you could do with physics, but can I outrun her? Yeah. Can she outswim me? Yeah. Is she good at weird stuff? Yeah. I don't know what the hell I'm good at, but you know what I mean? I'll figure it out."
She further added:
"You never know what's going to happen. And the only thing you do know is Laurel will always be manipulative and toxic. So trust her never. Nothing she says, nothing she does, never trust."
The Challenge: All Stars season 4 finale
There were 8 finalists in The Challenge: All Stars season 4. All eyes were on two-time champion Cara Maria Sorbello and her competitor Laurel. Before entering the fourth season, Cara took some time off and later joined the current season.
Knowing there would be only one winner in The Challenge: All Stars season 4, the competition became even more exciting for all the contestants. Before the final stage of the competition, 4 contestants were eliminated from the competition which included, Derek Chavez, Leroy Garrett, Veronica Portillo, and Nicole Zanatta.
As they departed, they were able to pass on their stars to one of the remaining players. Ultimately, Laurel received three stars, while Cara Maria Sorbello was left without any. It gave her an advantage as she was able to multiple obstacles in the final run, by using the extra stars.
While Laurel Stucky finished first, Cara Maria came second, making Laurel the winner of the fourth season. Later, Cara watched the season and learned what Laurel had been saying about her. In an interview with In Touch Weekly on June 19, Cara said:
"She’s an incredibly toxic, manipulative, lying, horrible person who I want nothing to do with for the rest of my life. The way that she (Laurel) treated me … I’m looking back on this and all she was doing that I was blind to [and] it’s gross."
Cara also mentioned how Laurel had four stars in the finale, which meant four advantages over the other contestants. As Steve came in third place, and Ace Amerson was eliminated in fourth place.
