The Circle season 7 episode 1: Who became the first two influencers?

The Circle season 7 premiered with four episodes on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. It gathered people from various walks of life and allowed them to flaunt their social media skills. Trapped inside apartments for two weeks, the contestants could only communicate through the Circle Chat.

With a $100,000 prize money at stake, the players had to execute their moves strategically and decide if they wanted to play as themselves or catfish the others by hiding behind the guise of another person.

In the first episode, titled The Disruption Begins, the cast members attempted to leave a lasting impression on their co-stars, hoping to earn their favor. While many bonded with each other, a couple of contestants stood out from the rest. Savannah, who entered the game as herself, and Heather, catfishing as Andy, impressed the others and were crowned influencers in episode 1.

The Circle influencers were then asked to mutually decide on one contestant they wanted to block from the competition.

The Circle cast members Savannah and Heather were the top-rated players in episode 1

Each contestant was allowed to interact with the rest and convince the other of their chosen identity in the first episode. While Heather participated as a metal band's bass player, Andy, Savannah introduced herself using her genuine identity.

While setting up her profile, Heather said:

"Andy's single in real life, and he's gonna be single in The Circle. We want all the ladies to kind of see that face and be like, oh, let's go slide in his DMs."

"Don't let the tattoos scare you off. I'm actually a softie at heart," Heather said in her profile description.

Meanwhile, Savannah confessed her strategy was to "overshare everything." While introducing herself, Savannah added "#BrainSurgeryQueen" to her profile because she underwent a life-threatening surgery after doctors found a tumor in her pineal gland.

Kevin and Darian seemed convinced with Andy, Heather's imposter profile, as Kevin said Andy was "one of the bros." Nicky and Jojo, catfishing as Gianna, were also impressed by Andy's profile.

"At first glance, he seems like he's not catfishing. To say you're a bass player, you have to be a bass player," Jojo said.

When Darian, Heather, Jojo, and Nicky saw Savannah's profile picture, they were immediately wowed by her appearance. Kevin confessed that she got him "feeling some type of way." Deb, catfishing as Rachel, had a heart-to-heart conversation with Savannah later in the episode, where the latter shared the story of her car accident and the pain she experienced while overcoming her brain surgery.

Soon, the Circle Chat closed, and the contestants were left to process all the information. Later, in a group conversation, Heather, catfishing as Andy, solidified her alliance with Kevin and Darian by offering to be their wingman in case they wanted to pursue a showmance.

"Like, I said from the jump, Andy's the wise dad. He's the wise grandpa in this," Kevin stated.

When the time came to rate the players based on their first impressions, Kevin locked Andy as his top choice, while Nicky and Jojo voted Savannah to be their second. Although each player's ratings were not disclosed, the results declared that Andy and Savannah came in first and second place, respectively.

On the contrary, Gianna secured the last place. Rachel finished in sixth, while Darian finished in fifth. Kevin and Jadejha were satisfied with their fourth and third places, respectively.

The influencers got the certified blue check marks added to their profiles as a reward. While they rejoiced, others worried since their future in the competition rested in the hands of the influencers. After much contemplation, Andy and Savannah decided to block Gianna; however, their decision was overturned due to the Disruptor twist.
