The Circle season 7 episode 8: Who became the influencers? Details explored

The Circle season 7 has released 8 episodes so far, with the latest batch of episodes released on September 18. As the show progresses, in each episode, there is a rating list, that ranks the players according to their popularity in the game.

The top two players, get to become the influencer for that episode and decide the next blocking. Episode 8 brought a little twist to the Influencer game and gave the power to choose the second Influencer, in the hands of the disruptor.

The disruptor was Darian, as shown in episode 7 of The Circle, and he had the responsibility of wisely choosing the second influencer. The post of the influencer is vital to the game, as the influencers get to decide who would be blocked from the game. A lot depends on the influencer, therefore, it is a must that players have alliances with the influencers in The Circle.

Episode 8 of The Circle unveiled the rating list, and Gianna (Nicky and Jojo) became the first influencer by topping the chart. Darian stood last on the list, and being the disruptor meant he had to choose someone as the second influencer, who would secure his spot in the game.

Darian, after a contemplation, decided to name Kevin, his bro in the game, as the second influencer.

Influencers Gianna and Kevin refuse to budge in episode 8 of The Circle season 7

In The Circle, where everything depends on the social gameplay of the contestants, being chosen as the Influencer, comes as a major power in the game. The influencers get to sit in their hangout and decide who would not continue his or her journey in the game forward.

This season has witnessed 2 blockings so far. The first one was in episode 3, where Savannah got blocked by Kevin and Gianna (Nicky and Jojo), the influencers of the episode.

The second blocking took place in episode 7 of The Circle, in which Andy (Heather) was blocked as she stood in the last place in the rating list. The episode had no influencers to decide who would be blocked, it was rather dependent on the rating list.

For episode 8, the rules were changed again, the first influencer would be chosen by the rating list, and the second one would be picked by the disruptor.

According to the rating list, Gianna became the first influencer once again. As Darian was the disruptor, he had narrowed down the decision to two players, either Kevin or Jadejha.

After a lot of thinking, Darian decided to vote for Kevin as the second Influencer. He thought Jadejha was not ready for the pressure that comes with the power of the influencer.

He said:

"That wasn't easy, like, you know, I could have played it real safe, and Jadejha been laying, like real low. So, maybe she was not ready for the extra attention yet."

Kevin and Gianna made it to the influencers' hangout area to decide the next blocking of the game. The narrator of the show introduced the two influencers and said:

"Darian's fate is now in the hands of Circle gods, otherwise known as two-time influencers Gianna and K Fern."

Gianna and Kevin pondered over their last encounter as influencers in the hangout area. Kevin said that the last time did not go as he planned for him therefore, he was determined to leave on his terms this time.

He wanted to save Madelyn and proclaimed Darian as his number one target. Gianna on the other hand wanted to save Darian because he was Jadejha's alliance, and emphasized that Jadejha and Darian came as a package.

The influencers seemed to not find a common threat and argued over whom to block. The episode ended on a cliffhanger, and audiences have to wait till the next episodes which will be released on September 25.
