Love is Blind: Mexico released Episodes 5-8 on August 8, 2024. It transported the couples away from the pods and brought them back to reality where they must test their compatibility by living under the same roof. However, the bigger challenge was gaining the family's approval.
The cast members hesitated to introduce their partners to their families, fearing they might get rejected. Francesca felt anxious about Willy meeting her parents, especially her daughter, Mila. However, in Episode 6, Willy's interaction with Francesca's family went well and both parents along with Mila approved of him.
They left a lasting impression on Willy, who said:
"What strikes me the most about Francesca's family is how young they all seem. I mean the dad is a rockstar, the mom is super young."
The Love is Blind: Mexico cast member remained calm and expressed how impactful the experiment had been for him. He met someone and developed a relationship with that person in a completely different way.
Francesca's parents complimented the couple and said they looked happy with each other.
Love is Blind: Mexico star Willy felt "super nervous" about meeting Francesca's family
While the other couples prepared to introduce their significant others to their family members, Francesca hesitated to introduce Willy to her daughter.
"I'm not going to introduce my most precious jewel to any old fool," said Francesca.
Seeing Willy shocked by the statement, Francesca reassured him she would introduce him to her. In Episode 6, when it was finally time for Willy to meet Francesca's family, the Love is Blind: Mexico cast member's nerves started building up. While speaking to the cameras, he confessed:
"Honestly, I don't know why, but I'm super, super nervous and anxious about meeting Francesca's family."
While the other couples' parents visited the cast members' homes or vice versa, Francesca's parents met Willy via video call. Francesca's mother Diana, father Wilhelm, and daughter Mila were happy to see Willy. As Francesca introduced them to their "son-in-law," Diana said:
"You both look great."
The Love is Blind: Mexico cast member was taken aback by how "young" the family looked. Wilhelm, who had long blonde hair, looked like a "rockstar" to Willy. When they inquired how it felt to be a part of the unique experiment, Willy admitted it was an overwhelming process where different feelings often overlapped.
"Feeling all these emotions at once, that's how it feels. Well, that's how I feel," said Willy.
Francesca agreed with Willy and explained how his presence helped her remain calm even though the experience was "intense." She revealed she got a "sense of peace and tranquility." Despite the hurdles, the Love is Blind: Mexico couple said the experience was one they would remember for life.
They admitted they developed their relationship "in a completely different way." While speaking to the cameras, Francesca noted that although she participated in the experiment, Mila was "going through it too" because the changes in her life would also impact her daughter.
When Willy urged Mila to share her thoughts, she said:
"I was nervous because I really didn't want my mom to leave and not to be able to talk to her for three weeks. I mean, I didn't know what would happen, but I can see my mom is very happy now."
Willy was pleasantly surprised to see how "mature, independent," and "cheerful" Mila was. Francesca then told her father that Willy cooked for her and she washed the dishes, to which Wilhelm replied, "She's not very good at it."
When Diana asked Willy about his parents, he revealed they had a conservative mentality. He added that since his father was the "softie of the house" it would be easy to convince him to accept Francesca, however, his mother, who was a "tough cookie" might be a challenge.
"It's a complete toss-up. I've never known my mom to deal with something like this, so it's not a prediction I can make," said Willy.
Francesca's mother wished the Love is Blind: Mexico couple the best and hoped everything worked out for them.
Love is Blind: Mexico will return with Episodes 9-10 on Netflix on August 14, 2024.
