In episode 4 of The Real Housewives of Dubai season 2, Caroline Stanbopened up about the future of her marriage with Sergio in a private conversation with Taleen. She confessed her husband appeared troubled and overwhelmed with the marriage because of his age and lack of experience.
"I met him when he was 24. You know, he went from being a single guy, with, like, not a care in the world, to being a father of three kids," Caroline Stanbury said.
In the same episode, viewers saw Sergio frustrated with the lack of attention from his wife. He requested his wife to prioritize him and let him be the "man of the house." However, Caroline Stanbury differed from his stance and shared with Taleen that Sergio was not bound to stay married to her if he did not want to.
Taleen revealed that Sergio confessed to feeling "disrespected" by Caroline's children. Taken aback by the comment, RHOD star mentioned that Sergio tried to be both a father and a brother to her children which complicated things for him.
She shared that he struggled to understand her daughter, Yasmine's "dry sense of humor," and often felt offended. In a confessional, Caroline stated that she did not appreciate Sergio sharing personal details with someone they recently met.
"I'm more upset at Sergio for discussing my private business and my children with somebody we've just met," Caroline stated.

In an interview with Decider, published on June 25, 2024, Caroline Stanbury shared that she did not look forward to having another child soon. She previously experienced preeclampsia and would potentially consider a surrogate, if motherhood became a priority.
To manage the disagreement with Sergio, she confessed to having made a "deal" with him. She explained that he would have to change the child's diapers and take care of the baby's meals since she did not enjoy indulging in those activities. Despite that, as a seasoned mother, she felt she might be "fun" in her old age.
While speaking to Taleen, Caroline stated that she thought Sergio would leave after 10 to 15 years. She added that she did not want him to regret marrying her so if he wanted to leave and pursue someone else, she would gladly accept that.
