The Golden Bachelorette episode 3 recap
Pascal gets a one-on-one date with Joan
The Golden Bachelorette episode 3 began with a one-on-one date. Joan and charismatic salon owner Pascal flew over to Las Vegas in a jet and had dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant.
Pascal opened up about his challenging upbringing and their family's struggle to make ends meet. His openness touched The Golden Bachelorette and the two shared a kiss before Joan handed him a one-on-one date rose.
While Joan was on her first date of the week, Charles Ling shared a tragic part of his life with ER doctor Guy. He said that his wife passed away from a brain aneurysm six years ago and it filled him with guilt.
He asked Guy if he could have done anything to save her and Guy helped him find some peace to begin his healing.
Quaker Oats Kick Bowl game for the group date
Episode 3 of The Golden Bachelorette featured a Quaker Oats Kick Bowl game. The men were divided into two teams with Kim, Jordan, Gil, Gary, Charles L., and Keith representing the Blue Team, and Dan, Mark, CK, Chock, Gregg, and Guy were part of the Red Team. Blue Team emerged victorious and earned a group date with Joan.
Before the group date, Joan received a concerning message about her 92-year-old mother’s health. However, she pulled herself together and went to the date, where she was consoled by Keith, Gary, and Gil.
Second one-on-one date and Joan’s vulnerability
Joan’s second one-on-one date of the week was with Jonathan. The two went on a horseback riding adventure where Jonathan opened up about his divorce and received a rose for his vulnerability. As they rode back after the date Joan noticed hawks, which was a symbol of her late husband.
After the one-on-one date, a group cocktail party was hosted in The Golden Bachelorette episode. Joan had herself filled up with thoughts about her late husband and the health news about her mother.
She shared her thoughts with the men and it resulted in a heartful moment where the men comforted her with their stories of loss.
Gerry Turner’s return and The Rose Ceremony
Gerry Turner made his return to the Bachelor Nation with the episode. Gerry had a conversation with Joan where he shared his experience on the show. He suggested that rather than grieving about her husband's passing, she should celebrate his memories.
At the end of their conversation, Gerry told The Golden Bachelorette that her potential love was not amongst the remaining contestants. Eventually, he left the mention, wishing her good luck.
Joan had to send three men home at The Golden Bachelorette week 3 rose ceremony. After the roses were handed out, Charles K, Gregg, and Kim were eliminated and had to go home.
The Golden Bachelorette episodes air every Wednesday on ABC.
