Christiaan, 33, is a menswear designer living in London. His favorite snack is crisps, especially the greasy, salty kind. Born in Emmen, a small town in The Netherlands, Christiaan's eye for fashion and design is evident in his meticulous and beautiful bakes.
He moved to the UK seven years ago to work for a leading fashion brand.
Dylan (Age: 20)
Dylan is a 20-year-old retail assistant from Buckinghamshire whose favorite snack is salted popcorn. With a deep curiosity for culture, Dylan recently spent a gap year traveling through Southeast Asia, immersing himself in local food and cultures.
He has a passion for painting Japanese-inspired characters on his T-shirts, influenced by his artistic mother.
Georgie (Age: 34)
Georgie, 34, works as a pediatric nurse in Carmarthenshire. She is a self-confessed chocoholic who loves eating crisps and chocolate simultaneously. Georgie's Italian roots and the time she spent cooking with her Nonna Rosa deeply influenced her baking.
Georgie is a nature-loving forager, inspired by the flora around her and the discoveries she makes on her travels.
Gill (Age: 53)
Gill is a 53-year-old senior category manager from Lancashire. Her favorite snack is a combination of salty popcorn and peanut M&Ms. Baking has always been a family activity for her, and after her father's passing in 2015, it became a source of comfort.
She utilizes her baking skills to raise money for Alzheimer's charities. Gill's sticky toffee Christmas pudding is a family favorite.
Hazel (Age: 71)
At 71, Hazel, a former nail technician from Kent, continues to embrace her passion for baking. Her favorite snacks include cheese and crackers, crisps, and popcorn.
Married to her childhood sweetheart for 51 years, Hazel enjoys hosting dinners and parties for her large family, including her 10 grandchildren.
Illiyin (Age: 31)
Illiyin, 31, is a birth trauma specialist midwife from London. She enjoys salty popcorn as her snack of choice. Growing up in a busy household in Norfolk, she became the go-to family member for birthday cakes.
With a background in helping women on their parenthood journeys, Illiyin now freelances and lives with her sister, nieces, Spanish husband, and their two children.
Jeff (Age: 67)
Originally from the Bronx, New York, Jeff is a 67-year-old former university lecturer living in West Yorkshire. His favorite snacks are salted pistachio nuts and grapes. Jeff emigrated to the UK in 1979 and has lived in Yorkshire since 1987.
A former athlete, Jeff began baking for his children when they were young.
John (Age: 37)
John, a 37-year-old directorate support manager from the West Midlands, is obsessed with biscuits dunked in a brew. John’s baking journey began with his grandmother learning to make fairy cakes and pies. His favorite bake is a classic lemon tart with a twist.
John has worked as a hairdresser and an estate agent but found his calling in the NHS.
Mike (Age: 29)
Mike, a 29-year-old farm manager from Wiltshire, loves chocolate in all forms. A fourth-generation farmer, Mike was shortlisted for Young Farmer of the Year at the 2024 National Arable and Grassland Awards.
Mike advocates for the LGBTQ+ community in farming and plans to use flowers from his farm at his upcoming wedding.
Nelly (Age: 44)
Nelly, a 44-year-old palliative care assistant from Dorset, enjoys shortbread biscuits and cake. Growing up in Slovakia and later moving to Austria, her baking skills expanded as an adult.
She combines her heritage with her husband’s Pakistani influences. A self-taught baker, she enjoys incorporating apple, cinnamon, and other spices into her creations.
Sumayah (Age: 19)
Sumayah, the youngest contestant on the show at 19, is a dentistry student from Lancashire. She prefers dry cereal over crisps for TV-watching. On a gap year before starting her studies, she lives in Lancashire with her parents and siblings.
Sumayah's creativity is evident in her baking and other hobbies, such as sewing and photography.
