The Later Daters season 1 was released on November 29 on Netflix. Throughout eight episodes, the cast members in their 50s, 60s, and 70s went on several blind dates to get a "second (or third, or fourth) chance at love."
The cast was helped by their family members, friends, and dating coach Logan Ury. Ury visited the cast members' houses to talk to them and their loved ones to find out the reason that was holding their love life behind.
After completing the assessment, the dating coach provided the contestants with advice, realistic dating goals, and expectations to help them navigate this aspect of their lives.
The season 1 cast features two men and four women, aged between 56 and 70. The cast members include Anise, Suzanne, Nate, Pam, Lori, and Greg.
Age of all The Later Daters cast members
Anise, 62
Anise, a 62-year-old marketing executive, was married to her high school sweetheart. Tragically, her husband passed away in an accident, leaving her to raise their children on her own.
As per her husband's last wishes, The Later Daters cast member continued her college education and went on to earn a doctorate, while raising her children on her own.
"Ury aims to help Anise shine in her 'biggest, truest way' and urges her to not minimize her ambitions or achievements when looking for her next partner," her bio on Tudum concluded.
Suzanne, 63
Suzanne is a 63-year-old optometrist. She was married to her husband Chris for 27 years, and the couple had three children. Her life was shaken after her husband's death, and she "threw herself into her career and practice."
"But now Suzanne, a self-proclaimed optimist who leaves quite the impression with her big energy, big hair, and brightly colored lips, is ready to date again," her bio added.
Nate, 56
Nate, a 56-year-old former paratrooper, is a divorced father of two. He shares one of his daughters with a former girlfriend from college, who maintains a good relationship with him.
The Later Daters contestant was then married to another woman with whom he had his second daughter. After spending 16 years together, the couple went their separate ways, and since then Nate has been living a “peaceful life” in a man cave of a home.
"Ury hopes Nate will let his guard down on dates, while Nate aims to work through his trust issues," The Later Daters cast member's bio added.
Pam, 70
Pam, the 70-year-old former flight attendant, has been married twice and widowed twice. She had been single for over 15 years and lived with her granddaughter, Zoe, in a "rural countryside house full of memorabilia and animals."
Pam was first married to a rock musician, Steve, with whom she had a son. After his passing, she spent 21 years with Will before he succumbed to a terminal illness.
"Ury describes Pam’s home as “a shrine to the past” and encourages her to focus on the future. On dates, Ury tells her to “be interested, not interesting," her bio added.
Lori, 57
Lori is a 57-year-old behavior coach and media correspondent. By night she is a celebrity correspondent at media events "where she rubs elbows with the famous on the red carpet."
The divorced mother of two has been single for over 15 years. She shared with Ury on The Later Daters that she kept herself busy with two jobs to avoid thinking too much about dating.
"Now she’s ready for love again and, crucially, hopes to avoid getting friend-zoned by her crush," her bio added.
Greg, 61
Greg is a 61-year-old construction business owner. The divorced dad of two has been single for over 12 years. He tried his luck with dating apps; however, he was left frustrated with ghosting and messaging that went nowhere.
"Greg tells Ury that, for him, physical attraction is an important element in relationships, but Ury advises him to 'expand his parameters.' his bio added.
