The Masked Singer launched its 12th season on Fox on September 25, 2024. The eighth episode aired on December 4, 2024, showcased the intense competition among the final four contestants. Following Vanessa Hudgens' victory as Goldfish in the previous season, 15 new contestants entered the competition to earn the top spot this season.

The judging panel comprises Ken Jeong, Rita Ora, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, with Nick Cannon returning as host. In the latest episode, contestants competed for three final spots in the semi-final next week.

By the end of the episode, Goo was unmasked, revealing it to be Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle, Kobie Turner.

What happened in The Masked Singer season 12 episode 10?

The first to perform in the quarterfinal of The Masked Singer season 12 was Wasp. The singer performed Standing Next to You by Jungkook. The judges' panel had guessed the singer to be either Mario, Usher, or Maxwell.

Before the performance, we also got a voiceover from the contestant. They feel deeply appreciated for making it this far in the competition, an experience that has been life-changing. Growing up, they lacked a clear understanding of true love, relying on romantic stories and movies for guidance.

After facing numerous setbacks and failures, they now have someone special by their side. With renewed hope, they're focused on the present and aiming to make it to the finale, taking a brief pause to win over hearts and secure their semi-final spot.

"Making it this far in the competition, I really feel the love. A feeling that honestly set me on a ride of a lifetime," said Wasp.

Next was Goo, who performed Iris by Goo Goo Dolls. The panel had previously guessed the secret contestant to be either Aaron Donald, Kobie Turner, or John Cena. Through the voiceover, it was revealed that Goo was deeply moved by the opportunity to continue in The Masked Singer, finding the panelists' comments incredibly meaningful.

As a non-professional singer, they've pursued two passions, despite others doubting their ability to excel in both. Participating in the competition has been exhilarating, allowing them to explore their singing passion.

Standing near the semi-finals with their fiancé, they've proven it's possible to pursue multiple passions. Tonight, they hope to be seen and appreciated for who they truly are.

Third to perform was Strawberry Shortcake who chose Closer by Tegan and Sara. The judges' panel had guessed that the singer was one of Katy Perry, Haylie Duff, or Danielle Haim.

Through voiceover, she revealed that reaching the quarterfinals has been a thrilling experience, but the real reward is the self-discovery that's come with it.

As someone who's always been part of a group, they've never had the chance to shine alone until now.

"For my entire life, I’ve been part of a packaged bunch. I’ve never really taken the chance to stand on my own. Until now," revealed Strawberry Shortcake.

With each round, Strawberry Shortcake uncovered new aspects of their personality, revealing a mix of sass, sweetness, and playfulness.

Their goal now is to make it to the semi-finals, driven by the support of their loved ones and their own desire to win the Golden Mask trophy.

The final contestants were the trio of Buffalos who chose You’re Still the One by Shania Twain. The panel had previously guessed the triplet to be either Temptations, Tony! Toni! Toné!, or Blackstreet.

Their journey as three friends took an unexpected turn on The Masked Singer. Donning the Buffalo masks, they discovered a deeper bond that transcended friendship and brotherhood.

A past event had disrupted their harmony, but they overcame it and emerged stronger. Now, driven by a desire to inspire future generations, they recognize the importance of family and their unbreakable bond.

After all the performances on The Masked Singer, it was revealed that Goo and Strawberry Shortcake were at risk of being eliminated from The Masked Singer and would compete in a Smackdown to decide which one contestant would be eliminated and unmasked.

Goo performed a rendition of Sam & Dave's classic hit Hold On, I'm Comin', while Strawberry Shortcake delivered a soulful interpretation of Alessia Cara's Scars To Your Beautiful.

In the end, Strawberry Shortcake secured a spot in the next round, whereas Goo's journey came to a close whose real identity was revealed to be Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle, Kobie Turner.

The Masked Singer semifinal will be released next week on December 11, 2024, on Fox.
