Episode 2 of The Mole season 2 was released on Friday, June 28. After episode 1 was left on a cliffhanger and didn't show who got eliminated, episode 2 was much anticipated. Jennifer became the one to bite the very first dust of the season and was sent home.

For the challenge in this episode, the players were taken to the scenic Tioman Islands of Malaysia, where they had to hunt out the treasure and transport it to a buoy on a raft they built themselves.

It was hard to tell who The Mole was because the players ended up finishing the task and adding $15,000 to their prize pot. Episode 2 of The Mole was also left on a cliffhanger after Hannah and Tony remained as the last two players sitting out the exemption countdown.

What went down on episode 2 of The Mole season 2?

The episode started with the decision day. Ari Shapiro announced that one of the three remaining players—Neesh, Jennifer, and Deanna—would go home. Jennifer was the one to get a red screen on her device, and thus she was sent packing.

Then came the time for their episode 2 challenge, as they braced to find the new Mole among them. The players had to find a map and then use it to collect two boxes. One of which was in a shipwreck in the waters, and the other was up on a hill. The only catch was that they had to build a raft to transfer their loot boxes, get to a buoy, and set out a flare. The prize pot addition for the challenge was $15,000.

The Mole players were divided into three teams: the swimmers would try to find the shipwreck, people who were fitter would go for the box up on the hill, and the remaining four contestants would help with the raft.

The shipwreck team was the first to find the crate, but it was so deep down on the sea bed that the team was struggling to get the box up. The hill team, too, found the location of the box but couldn't find the treasure because it was hanging on top of them, suspended from a tree. The team taking care of the raft was probably working the fastest because they had it sorted out before the other two teams showed up with the treasure.

Quaylyn was the first one to spot the hanging treasure, and the boys got it down together. They found a written message, which they took down for everyone to see. After struggling for a while, Ryan was the one to retrieve the box from the shipwreck, which had a chit as well.

When they assembled the two chits, they got a message that led them to their final point on the beach, where they had to dig out the treasure box from the sand. Then they perched two heavy chests on their little raft and tried getting it to the buoy. While they were at it, one barrel came out of the raft, making everyone suspicious of Tony and Michael's sabotaging because they were on the side of the barrel.

At the time of exemption, there was a countdown on the total pot of $45,000 on a TV screen. The last player to get out would win the number shown on the TV. Tony and Hannah were the only two players to not quit. The prize pot was down to $12,000, and the episode left viewers on a cliffhanger without showing who among the two won the exemption.

Seasons 1 and 2 of The Mole are available to stream only on Netflix.
