Netflix recently released The Mole season 2 on Friday, June 28, 2024. It is a reboot version of the game show, which was originally aired by ABC from 2001 to 2008. Seeing the popularity of the show, Netflix reintroduced it on the streaming platform in 2022.

The Mole season 2 features 12 contestants. They are given various challenges, through which they can win big amounts of money, and among them is a secret player known as the Mole.

Episode 3, Money Tower, started with the second episode’s running task. Two contestants, Tony and Hannah, competed against each other. The player who lasted longer will benefit from the Extension. The longer Hannah and Tony stayed in the task, the more money they lost from the prize pot.

In the end, Tony, who has a huge crush on Hannah, gives up. All the other participants were unhappy about this situation. The remaining pot money was $9870.

There was an elimination challenge at night, which resulted in Andy’s elimination. All the participants were asked questions about who could be the Mole. There were a total of 20 questions related to the Mole and his/her behavior.

The Mole season 2 episode 3: Break-in challenge

The remaining contestants were sent to the next location for a new challenge. For that, the location was Forest City. It was a hundred-billion-dollar development of luxury apartments, as mentioned by Ari, the host.

There were two teams, and the decision was cryptic. When the teams traveled to the location, they were instructed to form teams based on the contestants seated in the cars.

Car 1 had Tony, Michael, Quaylyn, Sean, and Hannah, whereas Car 2 had Muna, Ryan, Neesh, Deanna, and Melissa. They were also instructed to choose one player from each car who would have to perform well under pressure. They chose Sean from Team 1 and Melissa from Team 2.

Sean and Melissa were to rappel down from a 38-story building while looking for a red chair on the balcony. That was the sign to break into that specific apartment. Both teams were supposed to carry out a heist. After identifying the apartment, Sean and Melissa let their respective team members break in. Ari told them:

"Sean and Melissa, the success of this mission largely rests on your shoulders."

Each successful heist would earn a prize pot of $10,000. However, Team Sean was unsuccessful in the challenge. Team Melissa completed the challenge. It earned them $5000 for the prize pot. Because they opted to use the clue during the challenge, it cost them $5000.

Episode 3: Next elimination

Ari called all the participants for lunch. It was for the elimination challenge. Each player was given a fortune cookie containing a benefit. They were supposed to open it and share either the truth or a lie with the rest of the team. Five cookies had exemptions, and the remaining five had cash prizes.

As Ari explained the challenge:

"It’s a simple game of truth and lies. Vote correctly as a team and you could more than triple your pot with another $50,000."

Everyone was excited and nervous at the same time. It was because the stakes were quite high, and no one was sure who was bluffing or who was telling the truth. Before Ari announced the elimination, the episode ended on a high note.
