The Mole season 2 returned with a new set of episodes on Friday, July 5. The popular Netflix game show is about deception, betrayal, and strategy. Contestants participate in challenges that require a display of teamwork and trust, and with each task they win, they earn cash and increase their prize pot.
However, there lies a saboteur among them, whose main objective is to sabotage the challenges. Later, all contestants take an elimination quiz to test their knowledge about the mole. The one with the least amount of information gets eliminated. Episode 5 featured an auction that offered an exemption, among other things. One of the contestants bid the entire pot prize of $59,500 to get the exemption.
In episode 6, titled Cave Raid, viewers saw Neesh win the exemption by spending all the prize money. While contestants grew suspicious of his demeanor, it was Quaylyn who got eliminated. In a major turn of events, Quaylyn earned the chance to return to the game. After his return, the players participated in a 'cave raid' mission to secure two idols worth $20,000 each. What followed the mission was another elimination quiz.

What happened in episode 6 of The Mole season 2?
The episode started with The Mole host Aro Shapiro revealing that someone bid their entire prize fund for an exemption, while the contestants watched in disbelief. Neesh raised his hand to disclose that he spent all the cash to evade elimination. Cast member Quaylyn was surprised by that revelation.
"That cut me to my soul. Because he has proven, like, you know, I could trust you. If it was somebody else, of course I'd have been mad. But Neesh though? Wow," said Quaylyn.
While Hannah, Deanna, and Muna struggled to internalize the situation, Neesh confessed that he needed to play selfishly to win the game. He said he knew someone else would have taken the immunity card if it was not him.
"They are actually pissed because I won. That's how it really went," said Neesh.
The Mole season 2 cast members criticized Neesh, emphasizing the importance of the cash. Later, they took the elimination quiz to see who knew the least about the saboteur's identity. Most of the contenders were suspicious of Neesh owing to his latest antics. However, when the results were announced, Quaylyn's phone turned red, marking the end of his journey on the show.
"I just wanted to make my mom proud. I just wanted to make my family proud. I just wanted to do something that could change their lives for once. It's just tough," said Quaylyn.
The next day, the remaining contestants were asked to vote if they wanted Quaylyn back. $20,000 would be added to their prize fund if they voted for Quaylyn's return. Muna, Hannah, and Deanna voted 'yes, while Sean, Michael, Neesh, and Ryan voted 'no.'
However, it wasn't a majority vote and required Quaylyn to correctly guess how many players voted yes and how many voted no to secure his position back in the game. He accurately revealed the answer, returned to the game, and earned $20,000 for the pot prize.
For the next mission on The Mole, the players, divided into two groups, the River Team and the Rope Team, were headed to a cave with two chambers. Each chamber contained four idols, but only one was real and worth money.
Each chamber route would have three puzzles. When solved, it would offer one stone totem, which could eliminate one false idol from the main chamber. If the players got all three puzzles right, they could remove three false items, retrieve the real idol, and earn $20,000. If both teams won, they could win $40,000.
The River Team comprised Deanna, Muna, Sean, and Quaylyn, whereas the Rope Team had Neesh, Hannah, Ryan, and Hannah. Both teams got two puzzles correct. Once they reached the chamber, they removed two idols with the help of the totems.
Ultimately, the Rope Team picked the fish idol, whereas the River Team chose the tiger idol. Ari revealed that the tiger idol was the correct one and that they earned $20,000 for the pot. Then The Mole contestants took the elimination quiz. Muna, Michael, Hannah, Sean, and Ryan were safe. However, Neesh, Deanna, and Quaylyn's results were not revealed.
