The Mole season 2 episodes 9 and 10 dropped on Netflix on Friday, July 12, 2024, marking the end of the season. Both the winner and the mole were revealed in the finale (episode 10).

The segment brought back all the eliminated contestants after the remaining players, Sean, Michael, and Muna took their final elimination quiz. As they stood before the group, host Ari Shapiro asked the mole to reveal themselves.

Sean walked two steps ahead, uncovering his true identity as mole and shocking everyone in the process. Quaylyn shouted that he told everyone Sean was the saboteur, while Deanna claimed she knew it.

Talking about how it felt to be unmasked, Sean said:

"Yo, this feels good. It's been hard keeping this built up for ten missions. We'll get into the dirt, but, yeah."

"A lot of my training was reading people" — The Mole season 2 star Sean opens up about his personal life

In The Mole season 2 episode 10, the cast sat down for a chat after the saboteur and the winner (Michael) was announced. During their conversation, Sean opened up about his life as an undercover cop.

He said he didn't lie about being a stay-at-home father and added that before that, he spent 8 years as an undercover narcotics investigator.

"I worked alongside the DEA, so I had the long beard, the long hair, I would do narcotics reversals, money reversals. A lot of my training was reading people. It's building a quick rapport with people, extraction information and using it against them."

The season 2 player added that he wanted to do the same thing during the Netflix show. Ari Shapiro asked him which of the two was harder, being an undercover cop or being on the show. Sean said being the saboteur was harder since his competitors were "crazy."

"They're all saboteurs. You don't know what each person is going to say or do, or if they're gonna expose you, so like, yo, I was legit stressing before each mission because my goal, I wanted to be as covert as I possibly could, as if I was working again in my real life. I didn't want to be made by anybody," Sean stated.

Speaking about the season 2 cast, he said that the eleven contestants were from "every different" class of the world. He praised the group by calling them "intelligent, beautiful, smart, and educated." The Mole saboteur noted that criminals were "dumb," and it was easier to get them to tell anything. He knew going in, that it was going to be difficult.

Ari Shapiro played a "highlight" reel, showcasing how Sean disrupted the cast on numerous occasions. In the clip, Sean was heard saying that he was "built" to be the saboteur and was ready for "destruction." He said that he was ready to take money from the pot and "send these people home broke."

In the intruder task, Sean wanted the intruders to get through, and since "Q was a horrible shot," it didn't make him look as bad. During the treasure hunt challenge, he "kept cutting knots" so they would be "too short" to use." Despite his efforts, the cast made it through and he complimented the players by calling them "phenomenal."

While heading to the next task, he pretended to be scared of heights to delay his entry into the apartment. During Movie Night, he stated that he had hoped people would consider his past profession to be his only secret.

"This is the big secret behind Sean. He's an undercover cop. Okay, there's no way in hell that they would hire an undercover cop to be the Mole," Sean said in the clip.

In the Gala challenge, he removed a picture of the guests from the board to ensure the cast couldn't guess who had made the donations. There were many more instances where Sean sabotaged the group such as during the advantage auction. He knew if he could start a bidding war, the cast would "drain the pot."
