The Mole season 2: Neesh faces backlash after bidding the entire pot for exemption

The Mole season 2 dropped episodes 6, 7, and 8 on the popular streaming platform, Netflix this Friday, on July 5, 2024. The latest episode picked up with Neesh being revealed as the player who bid the entire prize fund, which stood at $59,500 to win an exemption card from an upcoming elimination quiz in episode 6.

Although the cast member was safe for another day in the competition, his decision angered the entire cast, including his good friend, Quaylyn, who noted that Neesh's decision "cut" him badly.

Meanwhile, Hannah dismissed his contribution to the missions and noted that all he did was "talk over everyone" and asked him to 'shut up.' Muna and Michael reminded him that $59,500 was a life-changing amount for some people and that some people couldn't even make that much in a year.

Neesh's decision to bid $59,500 puts a target on his back in The Mole season 2

The Mole season 2 cast was upset when they found out that one of them had bid the entire cash amount they had earned so far to win an exemption and were shocked to find out it was Neesh.

Quaylyn, who counted Neesh as one of the people he could count on, said in a confessional that the decision 'cut him to his soul.' He said that he would have been mad if it was somebody else, but hadn't expected it from his friend. Meanwhile, Neesh explained his decision to the cameras. He said:

"First mission, I was almost gone. During the shipping crate mission, everyone else played selfishly. So then, bye money. This exemption is mine. I'm gonna get what I need to win this game."

He further added:

"I know for a fact that if it wasn't me, it was going to be someone else. Everyone can be righteous about it, like, "I would never." They are actually pissed because I won."

Hannah pointed out that the only reason Neesh wanted the immunity was because he was "insecure" about not being able to figure out who the mole was. Sean said he would leave the show and wouldn't care anymore, while Deanna wondered out loud why she was still a part of the Netflix reality show.

The season 2 cast continued to slam the cast member later in the episode as Muna also wondered why she was there. Hannah believed Neesh didn't care about the money or his friends, while Quaylyn said that money could have changed somebody's life.

Hannah further added in a confessional that she would keep an eye out for the contestant moving forward. She said:

"I don't see the logic behind it either way. If Neesh is the Mole, it was a very, very risky move. However, it also doesn't make sense for a player to do that. Why would you drain the pot so you could win absolutely no money? Maybe I need to look more closely at Neesh. Is the Mole double-bluffing?"

Neesh told the season 2 players that since he went behind their backs, he deserved "whatever" was coming his way. Quaylyn further questioned Neesh's game plan and said he was supposed to put money in the bank along with him.

In confessional, he said that the latter was supposed to be their 'leader' and that they trusted him. He said he was shocked and didn't think it was going to be Neesh. He added that Neesh was now on his list of suspects.

During the elimination ceremony, Neesh apologized for disappointing The Mole season 2 cast. He added that he didn't mean to disappoint them and he had built trust with his competitors and worked hard to proceed in the show. He stated:

"To say sorry would be even more disingenuous. Not because I don't feel bad, because I would do it again."

Although Neesh survived the episode 6 elimination, he had to pack up his bags and leave The Mole season 2 in the following elimination quiz in episode 8. He called his departure from the show unexpected and applauded whoever the saboteur was, noting they played a good game.
