The Mole season 2 released three new episodes (episodes 6-8) on Netflix on Friday, July 5. The popular game show permits neither the players nor the viewers to anticipate what lies ahead. With thrilling missions to participate in, contestants often fail to sense the surprises lurking at different corners.

In episode 6, titled Cave Raid, Quaylyn was eliminated from the show. Host Ari Shapiro offered the safe players a chance to vote Quaylyn back into the game and win $20,000 for the pot prize. While the majority voted negative, Ari revealed the result did not depend on them. Instead, it rested in Quaylyn's hands, who was tasked with a small challenge. Winning it would guarantee his return and the money.

Quaylyn completes the challenge and rejoins the cast in episode 6, having earned $20,000 for the pot prize.

After Neesh emptied the entire prize fund of $59,500 to earn himself an exemption card, he appeared on everyone's radar. The contestants became suspicious of his behavior. Some even branded it as a "mole-like" move. However, Neesh felt satisfied with the ticket to evade elimination since it followed shortly after the exemption auction.

Quaylyn was surprised by Neesh's actions because he did not have him on his "suspect list." It clouded his judgment and made him unsure about his answer to the elimination quiz.

"I had my mind set on certain people, and now he does this. Going into the quiz now, I don't know who I'm going with now," said Quaylyn.

Everyone took the quiz and waited for the results to be announced. The first person safe was Sean. Hannah followed soon after. Next in line was Quaylyn, whose phone screen turned red, marking the end of his journey on the show. He bid an emotional goodbye to all his fellow cast members and left.

"I just wanted to make my mom proud. I just wanted to make my family proud. I just wanted to do something that could change their lives for once. It's just tough," said Quaylyn.

While speaking to the cameras, Muna admitted feeling frustrated watching someone who emptied their prize pot remain while someone who genuinely played the game left.

The following morning, The Mole players received a text from host Ari Shapiro that asked them to vote for Quaylyn's return. If they voted 'no', he would remain eliminated; however, if they voted 'yes,' he would return, and the players would earn $20,000.

Ryan, Sean, Michael, and Neesh voted against Quaylyn's return, whereas Muna, Deanna, and Hannah said 'yes,' excited about the opportunity to earn money.

"We need the money. A lot. But $20,000 isn't worth adding a player back in the game that also knows why he went home. No way. He knows way too much," said Ryan.

After they cast their votes, Ari revealed that it was "not a majority vote." He welcomed Quaylyn and announced that if he correctly guessed how many players voted 'yes' and how many voted 'no' within five minutes, his spot in the game would be guaranteed alongside the $20,000. The Mole cast member admitted it was difficult since everyone lied on the show.

"So I have to try to rely on my instincts and intuition because I really wanna stay in the game," said Quaylyn.

When he inquired The Mole players about their answers, Michael and Sean lied about theirs, raising their hands along with the other three who voted 'yes.' Muna stated that the four players who voted 'no' included Sean and Michael. Quaylyn hesitated to trust her but ultimately went with her words, announcing that four voted against him while the remaining three voted for him.

The Mole host congratulated him on answering correctly and welcomed him back into the game. He gave him $20,000 for his victory.

"Yeah, I'm back! But that just lets you know how crazy this game can get. The people who I trusted, like Neesh and Sean, they kind of betrayed me. And it's like the people who I didn't trust, like Muna, they're showing me that I can trust them because they brung me back in the game," said Quaylyn.

The Mole season 2 finale will only be released on Netflix on Friday, July 12.
