Before appearing as an official cast member in season 14 of the Bravo show, she was introduced as one of Sutton Stracke's friends, whose career encompassed both television and film.

Popularly known for playing Tiffany Valentine in Bride of Chucky (1998), the Oscar-nominated actress has multiple acting credits under her name. Jennifer was married to the co-creator of The Simpsons, Sam Simon, from 1984 to 1991. She officially divorced in 1993. Although her marriage did not work out, it earned her a share of the net proceeds from the infamous show.

In an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, released on December 3, 2024, Jennifer offered insight into her divorce, which she deemed difficult. However, she stated:

"We were together for about 10 years, and then when we got divorced, I got a piece of The Simpsons in the divorce settlement. Nobody knew that The Simpsons was going to go on for trillions of years! Honestly, every day, I'm like, 'Thank you, Sam!'"

Sam earned a significant amount of royalties from the show. In the years before his passing in 2015, he garnered $20-30 million per year. While speaking about the royalties on Los Angeles Magazine's The Originals podcast, published November 30, 2021, Jennifer revealed that she was entitled to one-third of Simon's ongoing earnings.

2) Jennifer's television and film career

Jennifer made her first television appearance in 1983, guest-starring in Oh Madeline and Boone. The following year, she landed a recurring role in Hill Street Blues. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member's performance as Olive Neal in 1994's Bullets over Broadway earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Jennifer garnered critical acclaim and won a GLAAD Media Award for her role in 1996's Bound. In 1997, she co-starred in Liar, Liar alongside Jim Carrey, which grossed $302.7 million at the box office.

In June 2005, Jennifer competed in a Ladies' No-Limit Texas Hold 'em event and won $158,625. The actress later won the World Poker Tour Ladies Invitational Tournament.

In 2006, Jennifer participated in Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown, finishing in third place. She competed in GSN's Poker Royale series and was featured in the World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions 2007 Edition. By 2017, Jennifer had earned more than $992,000 from poker competitions.

She met her current partner, Phil Laak, a professional poker player, during one of the 2004 tournaments.


4) Jennifer holds a Bachelor's degree in Theater

Jennifer of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was born on September 16, 1958, to former actress Patricia and salesman Harry. She is the sister of actress Meg Tilly, who won the Golden Globe award for her performance in the 1985 film Agnes of God.

Jennifer graduated from Belmont High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater from Stephens College in Missouri.
