The Real Housewives of Dubai season 2 finale recap
The golf trip and Soul Beach incident
The season finale of The Real Housewives of Dubai began with the cast embarking on a golf trip. The morning of the second day, the women and their partners gathered for breakfast, with tensions already brewing. At a seven-star overlook, Sergio (Stanbury's husband) and Rafael (Taleen's husband) made light-hearted jokes about their uneventful night, which prompted Taleen to remark:
“Today, we’re going to have a fun day. We’re going to Soul Beach.”
The atmosphere at Soul Beach quickly turned confrontational. Taleen Marie discussed about a previous argument with Lesa Milani. She felt that the latter had been unnecessarily harsh and said:
“You can’t be b**chy and not expect to be called a b*tch.”
Chanel Ayan and Lesa Milani also engaged in discussions that revealed deeper rifts. Lesa remained upset about Taleen’s involvement in her disputes with Brooks, while Chanel was surprised by the criticisms she faced from Taleen and Brooks regarding her behavior. Chanel responded to the accusations, indicating her surprise at the negative feedback by stating
“A monkey doesn’t see its own a***ole.”
Summer plans and personal revelations
As summer approached, the cast got ready for their impending plans and transitions. Sara Al Madani was suffering from a tragic incident involving her nanny and persistent relationship troubles. She considered taking a break from her relationship with Akin to focus on her child. She shared the same thought with Akin over a video call but he hung up on her. This resulted in their breakup.
In a confessional, Sara said:
"This relationship is now over."
Meanwhile, Stanbury and her daughter Yasmine Habib spent precious time together. She said that her partner, Sergio Carrallo, and Yasmine were doing well. Stanbury opted not to have another kid for the time being, which her daughter agreed with.
Chanel Ayan also shared personal milestones. She excitedly informed her sister about her collaboration with Huda Beauty. Chanel’s sister responded nicely. Despite this positive development, Chanel continued to grapple with issues in her friendships, especially with Lesa Milani.
The Real Housewives of Dubai: Farewell party
Stanbury and Chanel hosted a 'Goodbye, Dubai' party as a way to celebrate and bid farewell to the season. The event took place in a borrowed mansion, with guests, including Nina Ali, arriving in style. At the party, Sara revealed her breakup with Akin, mentioning that he was still attempting to reconcile.
Brooks Marks attended the party with a younger date named Max, which sparked curiosity among her co-stars. Brooks denied any romantic involvement with Max but acknowledged the speculation.
Lesa Milani arrived at the party and refused to participate in Stanbury and Chanel’s symbolic gesture of kissing their hands. Lesa perceived the gesture as "thirsty" and "forced," while Stanbury perceived it as jealousy.
At the party, Stanbury and Chanel presented a video for the guests to watch. Sara humorously compared the footage to a tampon ad, eliciting laughter from some and irritation from others. Brooks admitted to cringing at the video, while Lesa felt it was intended to provoke her.
The final confrontation in The Real Housewives of Dubai
The finale culminated in a big conflict between Chanel and Lesa. Chanel approached Lesa to discuss the criticisms made by Taleen and Brooks. Lesa first resisted, but with Taleen's persuasion, she agreed to speak. During their conversation, Lesa accused Chanel of undermining and twisting her words regarding Stanbury.
Lesa boldly stated:
"I swear on my children's lives. May God strike them dead,"
Chanel stated that she never used the word "bragging" about Stanbury's land, contradicting Lesa's assertion. The intense dispute upset both women, with Lesa eventually crying as the episode ended in The Real Housewives of Dubai.
